After more than two decades linked to the Argentina national team, the forward was the focus of a special day at the Monumental, where he received a large outpouring of affection from loved ones, teammates, colleagues, and the fans who cheered him on.
In that context, various figures shared messages of affection and farewell to Messi. One of them was Nico Vázquez, who has maintained a friendship with the footballer for over a decade.
The actor shared a carousel of photos from his visit to River Plate’s stadium during the day and showed some moments he lived alongside friends and close to the Argentine captain.

Months earlier, during an interview with LAM, Nico Vázquez had spoken about the strong bond he built with Lionel Messi. Asked by Fede Flowers about his relationship with the Argentine captain, the actor described a close and spontaneous bond, away from media exposure.
“We talk almost every day. About everything. Life. I try to make him laugh always before a game,” he revealed.
