This Saturday, September 12, Ingrid Grudke was one of the guests on Mirtha’s Table, the program hosted this time by Juana Viale. During the broadcast, the 50-year-old model reflected on the pressures weighing on women and the impact of today’s beauty stereotypes.
The conversation arose as Juana raised how body and facial image occupy an increasingly prominent space in daily life. “It matters and it will always matter. It has always been that way,” Grudke agreed.
However, the model noted that, although appearance has always held social relevance, in recent years the demands have intensified with the emergence of new tools and trends that allow altering the body image. In that sense, she pointed especially at social media filters and the advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
“And it’s exhausting because you’re demanded a perfection that doesn’t exist. The filters, Artificial Intelligence, I mean… there are a lot of pressures,” explained Grudke when referring to the factors that contribute to establishing certain beauty standards.
The model also questioned whether these tools end up promoting an increasingly uniform image, in which individual differences seem to be relegated.
“There is so much pressure that there has to be a demand in one particular way, faces change and they all look the same,” she stated.
