Dedé Romano Dazzled at the Para Ti Gala with a Sculptural Look by Jorge Rey

25 August 2026

The Para Ti Gala, celebrating its 104th year, was the perfect occasion to honor Argentine fashion and the talent of its designers. In the imposing Basavilbaso Palace, Dedé Romano and designer Jorge Rey took the spotlight with a look as hypnotic as it was bold.

Dedé chose a two-piece ensemble in a delicate beige shade, a choice that brought sophistication and reinforced the ethereal character of the proposal. However, far from a classic look, the design found its main appeal in the handling of textures, volume, and movement.

Dedé apostó por un conjunto de dos piezas en una delicada tonalidad off white, una elección que aportó sofisticación y reforzó el carácter etéreo de la propuesta.

The top stood out for its sculptural and artisanal construction. The strapless, cropped silhouette left part of the abdomen exposed and was crafted with a profusion of small pieces with a light texture that unfurled across the garment as if they were tulled frills.

El top strapless, de silueta corta, dejó parte del abdomen al descubierto y estuvo trabajado con una profusión de pequeñas piezas de textura liviana que se desplegaban sobre la prenda como si fueran volados de tul.

The skirt pushed that quest to another level. Low-rise with a broad silhouette, the piece created a dramatic fall. The design consisted of multiple layers of ruffles of the same texture that overlapped along the entire garment.

The result was a skirt with a great deal of movement and an almost organic appearance. Each layer added depth and dynamism, while the extended length finished giving it that elegant character befitting the occasion.

De tiro bajo y silueta amplia, la pieza construyó una imponente caída. El diseño estuvo compuesto por múltiples capas de volados de la misma textura que se superpusieron a lo largo de toda la pieza.

A Design That Plays with Volume and Transparency

One of the most interesting aspects of the look was the contrast between the top’s structure and the skirt’s fluidity. While the upper part concentrates volume around the torso and reveals skin, the lower portion gradually expands into a grand sculptural silhouette.

In turn, the monochrome beige tone allowed all attention to be placed on the textures. Instead of resorting to prints or contrasting colors, Jorge Rey planned the impact through the various surfaces and layers of the design.

A su vez, la monocromía en tono off white permitió que toda la atención estuviera puesta en las texturas.

The choice also resonates with one of the major gala fashion trends: looks that incorporate three-dimensional elements, transparencies, and artisanal textures to transform a garment into a true designer piece.

Dedé wore her hair swept up, with a natural-looking hairstyle and a few wispy strands around the face. The makeup maintained a sophisticated and luminous aesthetic, complementing the look’s spectacular flair without competing with it.

With this creation, Jorge Rey once again demonstrated his ability to transform lightweight materials and high-precision techniques into a silhouette with strong visual impact. Dedé, for her part, was responsible for bringing to life a proposal that blended sensuality, romance, and a pronounced sculptural imprint.

The makeup maintained a sophisticated and luminous aesthetic, accompanying the spectacularity of the design without competing with it.

A Night to Celebrate Argentine Fashion

With its stately architecture, its French-inspired details, and an atmosphere that combines history and sophistication, the Palacio Basavilbaso was the chosen setting for the Para Ti Gala. A unique space that, with its timeless elegance, made this evening even more special.

Betano was part of the Para Ti gala with an activation inviting the night’s protagonists to experience something different, in line with its entertainment and fun proposition.

Drean joined the Para Ti gala with a proposal that blended design, innovation, and technology, and surprised guests with an exclusive preview of its new era, through a preview of its upcoming release.

Bodega Escorihuela Gascón accompanied another edition of the Para Ti Gala, joining with a selection of its wines to a night that celebrates the evolution of fashion and contemporary culture. This participation aligns with the brand’s strategic vision of inhabiting culturally relevant spaces, connecting its legacy with the platforms and conversations that define today’s vanguard.

The gala’s security was handled by Perroti, who accompanied the invited figures throughout the night.
