Trend Alert: 9 Hair Colors Coming This Summer

28 October 2026

The nine hair shades that anticipate the season and the trend that unites them: bright, cohesive, and easy-to-maintain colors.

The very bold highlights and uniform colors begin yielding space to more subtle proposals. For the spring-summer 2026/2027, the coloration aims to accompany the natural base with blended reflections, warm nuances, and lots of shine.

The trend crosses all families: blondes become creamy, browns gain depth and reds move closer to earthy tones. Nine options that allow renewing the hair without the change necessarily being drastic.

Champagne blonde, buttery blonde, and bronde: the new luminosity

The champagne blonde moves between beige and golden hues. It is not as cool as an ash blonde nor as yellow as a golden one: the aim is to achieve a creamy, dimensional color with no rigid contrasts.

The buttery blonde maintains that warmth, but appears a little more luminous. It can be worked with a delicate balayage to preserve some depth at the roots and prevent the entire hair from lightening uniformly.

The third option is the bronde, that mid-point between blonde and brown. This season it’s worn with a deeper base and honey, golden, or caramel highlights that blend in progressively. It’s an alternative to add light without moving to a full blonde.

Suede brown, espresso and caramel bronde

Browns shed the flat effect to incorporate different shades. The suede brown —also known as suede brunette— blends cacao and espresso tones with very soft golden or caramel highlights. The contrast is low and the movement appears especially under light.

The espresso shine preserves the intensity of a dark brown, but adds warm undertones that prevent it from reading as a color block. Shine is a central part of the look and helps to appreciate its different depths more clearly.

The caramel bronde, meanwhile, incorporates fine caramel ribbons over a brown base. The roots stay darker and the lighter sections appear blended in mid-lengths and ends, a formula that better accommodates growth.

Toasted Siena, terracotta and strawberry brunette

The reds also shift their register. Instead of coppery, highly orange tones, deeper versions linked to browns appear. The sienna toasted starts from a brown base and incorporates controlled coppery highlights.

The terracotta brings together reddish, coppery and brown tones in a warm hue inspired by earth colors. It can have greater or lesser intensity, but maintains a natural look and avoids a red that is too vibrant.

Finally, the strawberry brunette proposes an unexpected mix: a brown base threaded with very subtle reddish or pinkish reflections. It does not become a full-on red; the hue appears with movement and light.

How to request these colorings at the hair salon

Beyond their names, the nine colors share a single idea: respect the depth of the base, avoid obvious lines and build dimension through integrated highlights.

When bringing a reference to the salon, it’s helpful to indicate which elements matter: warm or neutral temperature, the level of contrast, the amount of lightened sections and how much of the natural root you wish to keep. A professional can interpret the trend according to the starting point and the hair’s coloring history.

This season, the change does not necessarily involve lightening several tones. Sometimes, adding a warm highlight, restoring shine, or giving brown more depth is enough to move the color toward a more current version.
