Natalia Oreiro paired a romantic dress by Javier Saiach with animal-print ballerinas, creating an original contrast of styles.
Seated among columns, palm trees and greenery, Natalia Oreiro wore a dress that seemed to converse with the backdrop. The transparencies, the flowers and the movement of the skirt built a romantic image, but a detail broke any predictable reading: animal-print ballerinas.
The footwear did not attempt to quietly accompany the dress. On the contrary, it became the element that updated the look and demonstrated that a festive piece can also coexist with casual accessories and bold prints.

Natalia Oreiro’s Romantic Dress
The Javier Saiach design is rendered in a dusty pink shade, with a structured bodice that cinches the waist and overlays a translucent high-neck base with long sleeves.

Large floral appliqués sweep across the front in white, green, and soft touches of yellow. The skirt adds volume through airy layers and successive ruffles, a technique that imparts movement and reinforces its romantic imprint, with a few bohemian nods.
The contrast between a party dress and animal print
Rather than finishing the look with delicate sandals or classic pumps, Natalia chose leopard-print Mary Jane–style ballerinas. The choice shifts the dress’s register: it preserves its special character but steers it away from a solemn pairing.

There you have the most interesting formula of the look. The dusty pink serves as a serene base, while the animal print adds visual strength. Although both pieces come from different universes, they meet at warm tones.

The styling trick behind the combination
The key is to allow each piece to retain its own identity. The dress maintains its full prominence through volume, transparency, and embroidery; the ballerinas, however, appear as a surprising detail that is revealed at the end of the silhouette.

Moreover, the lower profile of the footwear brings a more relaxed attitude. It does not attempt to replicate the dress’s romance, but to create contrast. Nude cat-eye sunglasses add another unexpected wink and reinforce the production’s retro vibe.
A New Way to Wear Festive Attire
The combination invites looking at special dresses with greater freedom. By incorporating a daily, comfortable, and visually striking accessory, Natalia built a look that is less predictable without compromising the richness of the design.

The result brings together romance, bohemian edge, retro references and a bold touch. A blend that finds its identity precisely in the coexistence of pieces that did not seem meant to meet.
