Lacoste at Paris Fashion Week: Sneakers, Relaxed Tailoring and Urban Spirit for Summer 2027

7 October 2026

Lacoste once again turned Roland Garros into its grand stage in Paris. In the midst of Fashion Week, the brand unveiled its Spring-Summer 2027 collection with a proposal that moves between two universes that are part of its DNA: sport and urban life.

The Philippe Chatrier central court, this time unveiled, was once again transformed into a runway to welcome a collection for women and men where the house’s classics were reinterpreted with a more relaxed, contemporary, and sophisticated gaze.

The phrase chosen to frame the show was “Victory belongs to those who persevere the most”, attributed to Roland Garros, while the runway adopted a form of infinity, reinforcing the idea of continuity, movement and evolution.

Oversized polos, raincoats, and relaxed tailoring

The collection was defined by broad, comfortable silhouettes. The raincoats took a prominent role, as did the loose-cut suits and the indispensable piqué polos, many of them in an oversized version.

But Lacoste did not stop at a literal reading of sportswear. The brand proposed combinations that cross sports codes with more sophisticated garments: fitted polos with long pants, semi-pleated skirts, printed dresses, track suits with heeled shoes, and graphic tees.

Layering also appeared, with polos worn over long-sleeve technical T-shirts, a formula that reinforces the idea of functionality and layering for the upcoming European summer.

The inspiration of Pelagia Kolotouros

Lacoste’s creative director, Pelagia Kolotouros, started from a pivotal moment in tennis history: when apparel stopped responding solely to strict rules and began to become a form of personal expression.

That idea translated into a collection where the brand’s sporting tradition coexists with a more individual and urban pursuit.

The result was a proposal where the tennis uniform is unraveled, transformed, and worn off the court.

The colors and fabrics that dominated the show

The color palette took direct cues from the Roland Garros universe. Greens and earth tones blended with the distinctive color of the clay court, while cobalt blue, yellow, and silver details provided contrast.

As for materials, the collection leaned toward lightweight textiles designed for movement.

Cottons, cool wools, breathable jerseys, and silks formed part of a selection that sought to keep comfort without sacrificing sophistication.

The incorporation of technological materials once again demonstrated a formula that Lacoste handles naturally: blending tradition and modernity without losing its identity.

Sporty accessories with a sophisticated twist

Accessories also played a crucial role within the collection.

Cutting-edge athletic footwear shared space with lace-up heels, while metallic pendants and softly shaped bags added an extra, more experimental layer to the styling.

One of the standout designs was a draped, flexible bag inspired by a photograph by Irving Penn, whose work maintains a strong connection with fashion and remains a reference for different generations of designers.

That same visual universe also appeared in some graphic motifs used on T-shirts.

The crocodile prepares to reach 100 years

The show also arrives at a momentous point in the brand’s history. In 2027, the centenary of the iconic crocodile, an emblem that was born even before Lacoste’s official founding, will be celebrated.

On the eve of that anniversary, the collection seems to function as a synthesis of everything the brand has built: sport, innovation, relaxed elegance, and a constant ability to bring its historical codes to new territories.

In Paris, Lacoste again demonstrated that tennis no longer belongs only on the court. It can also dress the city, pair with tailoring, and become a statement of style.
