Eduardo Costantini turns 80 and shares this special milestone with a family that has become one of the main pillars of his life. His wife, Elina Costantini, surprised him with a tender family photograph and a loving message in which she celebrated the businessman, but also the family they built together.

She then highlighted the family they built together and stated: “Thank you so much for this divine family of love! We love you with all our souls.”
Kahlo’s presence in the image holds a special meaning for the couple. The girl is Elina’s first daughter and Eduardo’s eighth, who was already a father of seven children when their relationship began.
Eduardo Costantini and Elina: a Love Story That Began in a Storm
The love story between Eduardo and Elina had an unexpected beginning. Elina revealed that she met the businessman on May 2, 2019, when a storm delayed her return home.
To pass the time until a taxi could be arranged, she decided to enter Ninina, the café inside Malba, the museum founded and led by Costantini. There she sat at a table diagonally opposite the one Eduardo used to occupy.
At first, Elina didn’t even recognize him. But they began to exchange glances, and when the rain finally stopped, she asked for the bill. It was then that Eduardo stepped forward to speak to her.
“I got so nervous… I was single and not looking to meet anyone, and I felt an instant spark,” she recalled years later in an interview with LA NACION.
The conversation stretched on for more than three hours. The next day they had their first date and began dating. The relationship moved quickly: barely eight days after meeting, Eduardo organized a barbecue where some of his children and grandchildren attended to introduce Elina.
A Wedding Nine Months after They Met
The romance progressed at full speed. On December 8, 2019, Eduardo proposed to Elina after accompanying her on a pilgrimage for the Day of the Virgin.
Shortly after, they travelled to Europe and, upon returning, went straight to the Civil Registry. Finally, on February 22, 2020, they celebrated their marriage in an intimate ceremony with family and friends. It had been just nine months since that encounter at the Malba.
From the start, both spoke of their desire to form a family. But that project demanded far more time and effort than they had imagined.
The Arrival of Kahlo, the Great Family Project
After marrying, Eduardo and Elina began trying for a child. The businessman already had seven adult children, but becoming a father again at 78 was a completely new experience for him.
“We married quickly, and the other part took a lot of effort. The big family project was to have a child, and at first we thought it would be easy,” Eduardo recalled during Elina’s pregnancy.
Finally, in January 2025 Kahlo Milagro was born. The name also has a special story: Elina chose Kahlo in homage to her admiration for Frida Kahlo, while Eduardo proposed Milagro as a middle name. For both, the arrival of their daughter was the result of a long journey and a milestone that transformed their family life.
In an interview published this year, Elina defined the family they built as “the best gift Eduardo gave me in life” and said that the businessman is very involved in Kahlo’s upbringing.

Born on September 17, 1946, Eduardo Costantini built an extensive career as a businessman, economist, and art collector. His name became closely tied to Malba, the museum he founded in 2001, which has become one of Argentina’s most important cultural institutions.
Throughout his life he also built a large family. He is the father of eight children, grandfather to 21 grandchildren, and great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. The arrival of Kahlo marked a new chapter with Elina and added a new generation to his family.
