The Gala Para Ti was also a gathering of artisanal work and of those knowledges that pass through generations. In that universe, Marcelo Senra presented a proposal that encapsulates much of his identity as a designer: noble materials, artisanal techniques, and a perspective that connects different cultures.
Together with Serena, the designer took to the runway a look with an ancestral spirit, where Argentine identity dialogues with African and Guaraní references.

A chaguar dress with tribal drawings
The centerpiece of the look was a kind of short tunic-dress crafted in chaguar, rendered in a deep dark chocolate shade.

The material, with a strong artisanal identity, was embellished with drawings of tribal inspiration, traversing the surface and contributing to the design an organic, ancestral aesthetic.
The choice of chaguar is not casual: it is a natural fiber traditionally used in textile work by Indigenous peoples of northern Argentina and, in Senra’s creations, it assumes a contemporary reading.

A skirt made from kraft paper strips
The look also featured a piece constructed from strips of kraft paper, which added volume and movement to the ensemble.

This element once again foregrounds one of the great axes of Marcelo Senra’s universe: experimentation with materials and the value of handmade craftsmanship.
Rather than hiding the inherent characteristics of each material, the design makes them protagonists.
Accessories that define the look: White foal-leather boots and artisanal details
Footwear also played a fundamental role. Serena wore white foal-leather boots with spurs of black agate and alpaca, a pairing that reinforced the dialogue between the ancestral, the creole, and the contemporary.

The look was completed with perforated leather wrist cuffs featuring metal details, which added texture and character to the proposal.
Each accessory was designed as part of a single universe, without losing the artisanal identity that threads through the entire creation.
An aesthetic that blends Guaraní, African, and Argentine influences
To complete the proposal, Serena wore a wig inspired by Guaraní styling, which helped finalize the character’s identity.
The result aimed to bring together different cultural references in a single image: an aesthetic with African and Guaraní elements, while also bearing a strong Argentine identity.

A proposal that reflects the way Senra works in fashion: starting from materials, cultures, craft, and memory, turning them into contemporary pieces.
Marcelo Senra and the spirit of “Latency”
The proposal found a natural link with the concept chosen for the Para Ti Gala 2026: “Latency”.
Because before a garment becomes an image there is a process. There are materials that carry a history, techniques that are transmitted, and hands that transform those elements into something new.
In Marcelo Senra’s look, that process becomes visible. The chaguar, leather, paper, alpaca, agate, and hair come together to build a piece where craft is not an afterthought, but the starting point.

And it is precisely there that fashion finds what endures: craft, identity, and memory.
A night to celebrate Argentine fashion
The Para Ti Gala brought together on August 19 various figures from the local scene to celebrate the magazine’s 104th anniversary.
At the Basavilbaso Palace, each muse wore a creation specially designed for the night, in a celebration where “Latency” was the starting point for imagining new ways to understand fashion and creativity.
With its stately architecture, French-inspired details, and an atmosphere that blends history and sophistication, the Palacio Basavilbaso was the chosen stage for the Para Ti Gala. A unique space that, with its timeless elegance, made this night even more special.
Betano was part of the Para Ti gala with an activation inviting the night’s protagonists to experience something different, in line with its entertainment and fun-focused proposition.
Drean joined the Para Ti gala with a proposal that combined design, innovation, and technology, and surprised guests with an exclusive preview of its new era, through a preview of its upcoming launch.
Bodega Escorihuela Gascón joined a new edition of the Para Ti Gala, pairing a selection of its wines with a night that celebrates the evolution of fashion and contemporary culture. This participation aligns with the brand’s strategic vision of inhabiting culturally relevant spaces, connecting its legacy with the platforms and conversations that define today’s vanguard.
The gala’s security was provided by Perroti, who accompanied the invited figures throughout the night.
In keeping with a night that celebrates fashion, the gala’s ambience was managed by Mónica Pons Eventos, with a sophisticated and stylish setup that complemented the elegance of the Basavilbaso Palace. @monicapons_eventos.
