Who Is Matías Viale, Juana and Nacho’s Lesser-Known Brother? Manu Viale Greeted Him with a Tender Birthday Message

3 October 2026

Matías Viale celebrated his birthday and received a special shout-out from his sister Manu Viale, who took advantage of the occasion to share on her Instagram Stories two childhood photos of the two of them. “Happy birthday to the kindest and most noble being in this world,” the actress wrote alongside the images, in which they can be seen together as kids.

Although he belongs to one of the best-known families in the Argentine showbiz scene, Matías has chosen for years a much lower profile than his siblings. While Juana and Manu pursued careers in front of cameras and Nacho became a producer, he leaned toward behind-the-scenes work, especially in production.

Matías Viale, Juana, Nacho and Manu’s Younger Brother

Matías is the son of Ignacio Viale del Carril and Mariana Virasoro, the businessman’s second wife. He is the youngest of Ignacio’s four children: his older siblings are Nacho and Juana, from his marriage to Marcela Tinayre, and Manuela, his younger sister on his father’s side.

Manu Viale spoke on several occasions about the relationship she maintains with her three siblings and highlighted especially her closeness with Matías. In an interview with GENTE, she explained that it is with him that she has the tightest bond because they grew up together. “I’m closer to Matías because I lived with him,” she said at the time. She also recalled that, despite the age differences with Juana and Nacho (they are nine to ten years apart), the four shared family gatherings and celebrations throughout their lives.

The actress also described her family as a blended family that has always maintained a close relationship. According to her, during the holidays the four siblings would gather with their respective mothers and their father, Ignacio Viale del Carril.

The Viale clan almost fully gathered: Ignacio with his children Juana, Manu and Matías and his granddaughter Ambar

In another interview, Manu again underscored that closeness and defined Matías as the brother she feels closest to. “Mati is closer to me because he is more attached,” she noted. In that same chat she mentioned that, unlike her and Juana who chose to be in front of the camera, Matías and Nacho chose to work behind the scenes.

A Career Behind the Camera

Like the rest of his siblings, Matías is connected to the entertainment industry, though from a much less visible place.

His career began focusing on commercial production and advertising. One of his first roles was at an agency tied to a well-known wine brand. In 2016 he joined Story Lab, his brother Nacho’s production company, where he worked on projects related to Mirtha Legrand’s programs. However, his stint at the family firm was brief, and a little more than a year later he decided to continue his career outside of that sphere.

In September 2017 he joined Rodeo Entertainment, a company dedicated to cinema and music. There he began as a commercial producer and, since January 2018, took on that role specifically with Fito Páez’s career. Later, from early 2019, he also began handling the management of the Rosario-born musician.

His work thus tied to one of the most important figures in Argentine music, though far from the public exposure that characterizes other members of his family.

In 2021, Manu already noted that Matías worked at a film production company linked to the development of Fito Páez’s career and emphasized that, despite belonging to such a famous family, he had chosen a different professional path from his siblings.

The Low Profile That Sets Him Apart from His Siblings

The difference between Matías and his brothers isn’t just in their jobs, but also in his relationship with public exposure.

In a 2024 interview, Manu revealed that Matías, then 31, is more shy and doesn’t particularly enjoy being in front of a camera. “Matías is already 31 but he’s more shy, he doesn’t really like the camera,” she explained. She also noted that their father always supported the professional paths of his four children, even though each chose his own path.

That choice goes a long way toward explaining why his name is far less familiar to the public than Juana’s, Nacho’s, or Manu’s. In fact, in 2021, Para Ti described him as the “least known” of the Viale siblings, precisely because of his behind-the-scenes profile.

The Motorcycle Passion He Shares with His Family

There is, however, one activity that does unite him particularly with his father and brother Nacho: motorcycles.

Ignacio Viale del Carril is a renowned two-wheeled enthusiast, and after retiring from diplomatic work, he deepened that passion through long trips. His sons, Nacho and Matías, also share this passion and have taken part in various expeditions.

The family was even linked to “Desert Dogs”, a project related to motorcycle travel that began in 2014 and took Ignacio, Nacho, Matías and other members of the group on trips to various destinations. Among those journeys was a trip to Alaska.

Thus, behind the Viale surname and a family accustomed to the spotlight, Matías built his own path: he chose production, music, and behind-the-scenes work, staying away from the cameras.

And on his birthday, it was precisely his sister Manu — the closest in age and with whom he shared much of his childhood— who again put him in the foreground for a moment, with two photos from when they were kids and a sentence that sums up the affection she has for him: “Happy birthday to the kindest and most noble being in this world.”
