Weekly I Ching: What the Chinese Oracle Says for Each Zodiac Sign by Element

3 July 2026

The I Ching, or the “Book of Changes,” is one of the oldest oracles in China. It is more than 3,000 years old. It does not predict the future; instead, it contemplates the present, the influences of nature, and the energy that surrounds us. And it provides, week after week, optimal guidance to improve our quality of life.

Let us learn to observe more and reduce anxiety, nervousness, and the impulse that everything should happen right now.

It is based on 64 hexagrams: figures made of six lines. Each hexagram describes a situation, an energy, an attitude. The idea is simple: “Change never stops; it keeps mutating, seeking to transcend in one way or another.” And the I Ching tells you exactly how to move with that change, not against it.

How are we going to use it here?

Every week we will have a Hexagram for each Element of Nature: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water, with an ancient piece of counsel that we should not waste, but rather meditate on and apply to our living. The result over time will be greater serenity and a better quality of life. It is not destiny, it is guidance.

FIRE (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Hexagram 21 Shi He / The Biting Through
The fire this week is “to bite through to separate.” Shi He speaks of cutting, defining, and setting boundaries where something is rotten or tangled.

If you belong to this Element, this Hexagram is warning you that if you’ve been dragging along loose issues because no one resolved them—work, relationships, papers, whatever—it’s a week for a decision: yes or no. No gray areas.

Caution: the biting fire burns if you use it with anger. Use it with justice.

Key: “Success comes through correction.” Put things right where they are twisted and the rest will loosen, keep that in mind.

EARTH (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)

Hexagrama 15 del I Ching | Significado de La Modestia (Qiān)

Hexagram 15 Qian / Modesty
Earth in Qian does not seek to shine. It supports from below. It is the strongest element because it does not compete; this hexagram tells you that this week, “Less noise, more result.” If you were rushing to show everything, now lower your profile and work with finesse. The Earth rewards the one who builds without haste, don’t forget.

Opportunity to resolve financial, home, or health matters through simple means. The ostentatious falls away.

Key: “The noble one reduces what he has in excess and increases what he has in short supply.” Achieve balance.

AIR (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)

Hexagram 4 Meng / Immaturity (Youthful Folly)
Air here represents a mind that begins from zero. Meng is the student. It does not know yet, but it longs to learn.

It is an excellent week to ask questions, to train yourself, to move away from “I already know everything.” If you get stuck on a topic, seek someone who will explain it to you without shame.

Be mindful of mental rigidity. Air stagnates when it believes it already understood.

Key: “It is favorable to consult, seek guidance, and even if necessary, start anew.”

WATER (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

Hexagram 8 Bi / Union Water seeks its course alongside another body of water. Bi represents union, alliance, kinship.

This is a week to not navigate emotional or difficult moments alone. Water, with this hexagram, needs support: a friend, family, a team, a therapist. Asking for help is strategy, not weakness.

Caution: Do not join with just anyone for fear of being alone. Water chooses its river wisely.

Key: “Seek union. Consistency brings good fortune.” Who is supporting you this week.
