Valu Cervantes Reveals How His Kids React to Enzo Fernández’s Argentina National Team Matches: “He Was Scared”

11 July 2026

The historic victory of the Argentina national team over Egypt once again brought the players’ families into the stands. In that context, Valu Cervantes took part in an interview with Marley and Ian Lucas for Por el mundo and spoke about how she faces each match alongside her children, Olivia and Benjamin, offspring of her relationship with Enzo Fernández.

The influencer confessed that every Scaloneta match is lived with a special intensity when a loved one is on the field.

It’s crazy. The pride in every game is incredible. Being a family makes it feel much stronger. It’s what represents all Argentines; it’s stronger, it’s like an extra boost,” she stated.

How Olivia and Benjamin Experience the World Cup

During the discussion, Valu explained that her children experience the World Cup in very different ways. While Olivia, six years old, fully enjoys the soccer atmosphere and is already used to accompanying her dad, Benjamin, two, appeared more sensitive to the mood in the stadiums.

She loves it. Benja at the beginning was a little scared, although it faded after a while,” she explained.

The influencer also highlighted that, despite his young age, the little one already comprehends perfectly who his dad is and everything his career as a footballer entails.

“He already understands everything. He knows who Enzo is, that he plays, he can name the clubs and he also sings the songs,” she recounted with laughter.

Benjamin’s On-Field Appearances

In another part of the interview, Marley mentioned that she still does not take her daughter Milenka to the pitch because she considers she is too young to endure such long days. Valu agreed with that decision and recalled that she did the same with Benjamin.

“We, as adults, get hot from the heat, we have to walk… Imagine the younger kids. You want them to go, but then you say ‘Oh, no’,” she explained.

She even recalled that Benjamin had only recently attended a Copa América 2024 match during the final that crowned the Argentine team champions against Colombia.

In response to that anecdote, Marley joked that if Argentina makes it to the World Cup final again, Milenka would probably also have her debut on the pitch.

As the national team prepares to face Switzerland in the quarterfinals, Valu showed how she experiences this moment from a very special place: accompanying Enzo Fernández, but also prioritizing the well-being and rhythms of her children.
