Stephanie Demner at the Para Ti Gala: Digital Communication Gave Fashion Its Immediacy and the Chance to Reinvent Itself

23 August 2026

Stephie Demner was one of the leading figures in the digital world who attended the Para Ti Gala 2026, held at the Basavilbaso Palace to celebrate the publication’s 104th anniversary. A reference in social media, fashion, and trends, the influencer is also going through a very special moment in her personal life: she is pregnant with her second daughter, Jazmín, who will join Ariana, her first daughter.

On a night that brought together trailblazers from different generations and celebrated fashion, design, and Argentine culture, Stephie spoke with Para Ti about the impact of the digital world on fashion communication, how to recognize trends that truly endure, and what new generations are seeking today.

Additionally, as a mother and model, she reflected on the link between fashion, beauty, and identity, and the message she wants to convey to her daughters.

You belong to the digital world and you communicate fashion and trends. How do you know when a trend is fleeting and when it will endure over time?

—I believe that what lasts over time is what people usually feel comfortable and identified with. There are trends that are very hard to implement in daily life or that you think: “I can’t wear this on any given weekday to go out.” They’re even ridiculous or just for the photo, for the video, or for the post, but then they cannot be worn in reality.

Many trends that are like that—slightly exaggerated—tend to adapt in a more urban way and people dare to wear them; but while many enjoy playing with fashion, many others do not. They are classic and perhaps they appear in fashion weeks or at specific events, but afterward they don’t feel confident wearing them in daily life. So it seems to me that the trends that stick are the ones that truly make people feel comfortable.

—What do you think networks and the digital world have contributed to fashion communication?

—The immediacy. Perhaps before we had to wait for the month when the magazine came out to see what had arrived. Today it is immediacy and the ability to pivot: you do something and, if it isn’t in the right direction, you change. There’s always time to regroup.

—On the occasion of Para Ti’s 104 years supporting women and Argentine design, what are today’s new generations seeking and how do they connect with local creators?

—I think today they look for a bit of disruption, but they return to the basics. They enjoy the show and the designer who offers a show, but then they need to be able to adapt it to their daily life or have a more urban line. Or choose a particular moment and say: “Today I wear a Pucheta Paz”, knowing that it is something theatrical and incredible, but perhaps not for everyday wear.

—You’re a mom and you’ll become a mom again. What message about fashion and beauty do you want to convey to your daughters?

Let them feel comfortable with themselves and take what they like from what fashion proposes. Let them not change themselves to fit something, but the other way around. I think that’s the most important. As a model, when I was younger, I had to adapt a lot to fashion and to what they put on me; it was more about being a mannequin. Today, with the networks, you can play with fashion and make fashion adapt to you, not the opposite.

—Are you brave enough to share a strong trend you see for the upcoming season?

—I’ve noticed turquoise is making a comeback, one of those things you think: “I’ll never wear this,” and then we’ll all end up looking turquoise. On the other hand, stripes. I really liked Copenhagen’s fashion show: last year it was about texture mixing, and now it’s about mix of prints. I found that spectacular and very beautiful.
