Sofía Pachano’s Fear as a Mom: Why She Preserved Her Son’s Image on Social Media

In a recent episode of It Would Be Incredible, Sofía Pachano spoke again about her life as a first‑time mom and explained why she chose to preserve her child’s image on social media. The actress and content creator became a mother to Vito in January, the fruit of her relationship with Santiago Ramundo, and since then she has shared various moments of her new family life, though she always avoids showing the baby’s face.

Through her posts and photos, followers noticed that Vito’s face is kept covered. While Sofía had already explained the reasons for this decision, during Olga’s stream she delved into her main concern: the use of images of minors on the internet and the risks associated with artificial intelligence.

With her usual spontaneity, the actress began by saying she receives numerous messages asking if she doesn’t show her son because he is “ugly” or because he has “something on his face.”

“I get a lot of messages asking me if I don’t show him because he’s ugly or because he has ‘something on his face’. I don’t show him because of the digital image, because AI scares me a bit,” she explained.

In that sense, Pachano expressed her fear about the possibility that her son’s images could be manipulated or used for malicious purposes. “I’m afraid pedophiles might do things,” she stated, explaining why she prefers to keep Vito’s face out of public exposure.

How Sofía Pachano’s stance on showing her son changed

During the chat, Sofía also explained that the decision to preserve her son’s image was a topic she discussed with her partner during the pregnancy. According to her account, Santiago Ramundo had expressed from the beginning that he preferred not to expose the baby on social media.

“When I was pregnant, Santiago, my boyfriend, was like, ‘No, no, no, we’re not going to show the baby.’ And I was, ‘Santi… it’s hard, we’re exposed people, we show a lot of things,’” she recalled.

However, the actress acknowledged that her stance changed when Vito was born. Although at first she thought sharing family images could be part of her work on digital platforms, the arrival of her son led her to rethink that idea.

“He was born and it was kind of like… I don’t know if I want to show him,” she stated, describing how her view on exposing minors on the internet transformed.

The main reason she decided to preserve Vito’s image

At another moment in the conversation, Nati Jota asked whether her decision was also related to growing up in an environment of media exposure due to her father, Aníbal Pachano, and with the desire to prevent her child from being exposed without being able to choose it.

However, Sofía clarified that her main concern is tied to potential improper uses of children’s images. “I didn’t lean toward that so much as toward pedophilia,” she stated.

To illustrate her reflection, she shared a recent experience that made her think about how easily people can recognize children who frequently appear on social media.

“Yesterday something pretty crazy happened to me. I follow a girl who shows her kids… And it’s fine, I have nothing against them. I was crossing the street, and I recognized the boy but not her,” she said.

The anecdote helped her explain that digital exposure can transcend screens and spill into everyday life, even when children are not aware of the reach their image can have.

In this way, Sofía explained that her decision not to show Vito’s face mainly stems from concerns about his safety and privacy. Along with Ramundo, she chooses to share some moments of motherhood without fully exposing her son’s identity.
