After several seasons in which discreet luxury set the pace of fashion, Roberto Cavalli has once again decided to make a statement. For Spring–Summer 2027, Fausto Puglisi revived some of the brand’s most recognizable codes — animal prints, devoré velvet, and embroidery — and brought them into a collection with a youthful, sensual, and festive spirit.
The lineup focused on pieces that invite playful mixing: mini skirts, shorts, cycling shorts, halter tops, lace-trim camisoles, and low-rise jeans. Among the more provocative details appeared strappy underwear peeking above the waist, a direct nod to 2000s aesthetics.

Puglisi drew inspiration from a phase of Cavalli that today arouses renewed interest: the leather-printed pieces from the 1970s and the brand’s younger, punk facet of Just Cavalli. Rather than reproducing those looks, he channeled that energy to build an up-to-date wardrobe, where prints and textures mingle without asking for permission.
That burst of color stood out during a fashion week dominated by more sober palettes. On Cavalli’s runway, animal prints reclaimed center stage and mingled with lace, embroidery, and bold, visually striking textures.
Among the backstage references Puglisi named were Courtney Love, Beverly Hills, 90210, Zendaya, and artworks from eras very different from one another. But there is no need to pinpoint every inspiration to understand the result: the collection invites you to dress up to go out, to experiment, and to have fun.
