There are dresses that stand out for their silhouette, and others that surprise when viewed from behind. The design that Javier Saiach created for his muse Sofía Seijas belongs to the latter category: a gala piece where artisanal work takes on a special starring role.
For the occasion, Seijas wore a column gown in bordeaux velvet, with an irregular structure that flatters the figure and adds a significant slit along the left side.

The Bordeaux Velvet Dress by Javier Saiach

The Bordeaux-toned velvet adds depth and sophistication to a silhouette that remains clean at the front. The dress’s irregular structure and the side opening generate movement and add a sensual detail without detracting from the design’s elegance.

A Back Full of Flowers and Artisanal Details
But the real impact appears at the back. The back was embellished with flowers and branches handcrafted in organza and silk threads. The work adds texture and volume and creates an almost sculptural effect on the velvet.

The flowers appear as an extension of the dress and reinforce one of Saiach’s signature marks: the incorporation of manual work as a central part of his designs.

The irregular neckline also adds a special detail, with Richelieu cutouts that complete the construction of the piece.
The result is a dress where the sensuality of the slit and the column silhouette coexist with the delicacy of artisanal work that turns the back into the focal point of the look.
A Night to Celebrate Argentine Fashion
The Gala Para Ti brought together on August 19 various figures from the local scene to celebrate the magazine’s 104th anniversary.
At the Palacio Basavilbaso, each muse wore a creation specially designed for this evening, in a celebration where “Latency” was the starting point for imagining new ways to understand fashion and creativity.

With its stately architecture, its French-inspired details, and an atmosphere that blends history and sophistication, the Palacio Basavilbaso was the chosen stage for Para Ti’s Gala. A unique space that, with its timeless elegance, made this night even more special.
Betano was part of the Para Ti gala with an activation that invited the night’s protagonists to experience something different, in line with its entertainment and fun proposition.
Drean joined the Para Ti gala with a proposal that combined design, innovation and technology, and surprised guests with an exclusive preview of its new era, via a preview of its upcoming launch.
Bodega Escorihuela Gascón joined a new edition of the Para Ti Gala, pairing a selection of its wines with a night that celebrates the evolution of fashion and contemporary culture. This participation aligns with the brand’s strategic vision of inhabiting culturally relevant spaces, linking its legacy with the platforms and conversations that define today’s vanguard.
The Gala’s security was handled by Perroti, who accompanied the invited figures throughout the night.
In keeping with a night that celebrates fashion, the Gala Para Ti’s ambiance was curated by Mónica Pons Eventos, with a sophisticated and stylish setup that complemented the elegance of Palacio Basavilbaso. @monicapons_eventos.
