Pampita Talks About Pico Mónaco in Front of Yanina Latorre, Slams the Media: “They Ruined My Relationship”

9 August 2026

The study on PH, Podemos Hablar became the stage for an unexpected clash between Yanina Latorre and Pampita. Invited to the program hosted by Andy Kusnetzoff, both shared their views on love, fidelity, and the consequences of living a relationship under the constant spotlight of the media.

The most intense moment arrived when the conversation shifted toward Pampita’s separations and, especially, toward her relationship with Pico Mónaco.

Pampita spoke about her separations and the media exposure

It all began when Kusnetzoff proposed a dynamics related to infidelities. Pampita was one of the first to step forward and acknowledged:

“I think on several occasions, with different partners. I am a repeat victim of infidelity. Let’s hope the streak has ended and that from here on it won’t happen again. I am monogamous.”

Yanina Latorre, in contrast, offered a different view and shared that she has been in a relationship with Diego Latorre for more than three decades. “I’ve been married for 32 years. I don’t cheat on my husband, even if you wouldn’t believe it, but I don’t do it out of malice; I do it because I’m comfortable and because I’m well.”

The host also described Pampita as “an eternal romantic” and stated that the model continuously seeks a partner who won’t be unfaithful to her.

The exchange grew increasingly intense as both expressed their different stances on monogamy, desire, and forgiveness within a relationship.

Pampita’s memory of Pico Mónaco

But the discussion took a different tone when Yanina directly asked Pampita why the media coverage of her separations bothered her so much.

The model explained that she often faces those moments from a place of immense vulnerability. “Sometimes I feel unsettled, and I’m carrying my own emotional burden. I’m trying to figure out what to do, I’m trying to go out, I do my makeup at home so I can leave looking decent, I didn’t sleep all night.”

Pampita acknowledged that she understands the rules of the game after more than two decades in the media, but explained that a breakup can find her at a moment when she is simply not ready to speak publicly. “I know the game; I’ve been in this for more than two decades.”

That’s when the memory of Pico Mónaco resurfaced, with whom Pampita had a relationship for several years.

“The media were ruining her”

When recalling that period, Pampita argued that the media exposure weighed heavily on the end of the relationship. “No, I wasn’t separated. In fact, I think I ended up separating because the media coverage was so heavy on that relationship.”

And she was forceful in explaining how she experienced that situation: “It was a relationship that was given hours of TV and it was being ruined, the media were ruining it. It was one of the triggers.”

The statement elicited an immediate response from Yanina, who defended journalistic work and questioned whether the press could be responsible for the end of a relationship. “Do you think the media can ruin a bond? I don’t think so.”

Pampita stood by her stance and explained that when exposure becomes constant, it can end up affecting even a relationship that is going through its own difficulties. “Yes, of course, if they hound you and don’t give you peace, they don’t give you a break.”

Pampita: “Sometimes the media can ruin a relationship”

The model delved into how hard it is to sustain a bond when every gesture, every appearance, and every decision becomes material for the media. “They’re always looking for minutiae to magnify, and once you come in with a bit of a mess, it’s as if they’re intent on blaming you. If they left things alone, perhaps it would work.”

Finally, Pampita reiterated that not everyone has the same tools to handle public exposure and that external pressure can end up impacting intimacy.

“It isn’t easy to be publicly exposed, and not everyone has the skin to endure it. Sometimes the media exposure can ruin a relationship.”

The exchange exposed two different perspectives: while Yanina Latorre defended the media’s role as chroniclers of what happens in the public lives of celebrities, Pampita focused on the emotional impact that such exposure can have when a couple goes through a crisis.
