This September 8 again becomes a particularly sensitive date for Pampita and Benjamín Vicuña. Although years have passed since they ended their relationship, they share a story that binds them forever: the one about Blanca, their first daughter, who died in 2012 at the age of six.
Each anniversary finds different ways to remember the girl. On this occasion, Pampita chose to do so from an intimate place and without public statements. The model shared in her Instagram stories a symbol linked to her faith: an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pierced by a crown of thorns and accompanied by a cross.
The post was accompanied by A Place I Love, a song by Hoogway that adds an atmosphere of spirituality, calm, and contemplation. Pampita’s gesture fits into the way she usually chooses to remember her daughter on each anniversary, through images, symbols and small dedications.
Benjamín Vicuña’s Message to Blanca
Benjamín Vicuña also remembered his daughter on this date. The Chilean actor shared an extensive dedication in which he spoke of pain, but also of life and of the memory that endures with the passage of time.
“I wake up and my body hurts; they say that is what tells us we are alive, the pain. I have lived through the deepest pain, and here we are,” he wrote in one of the fragments of his message. Then he spoke directly to his daughter: “Blanca, my little girl who wanted to fly.”
In his text, Vicuña also spoke about the photographs he keeps and about how he decided to make room for the flowers that arrive with spring. An image he uses to talk about nature, cycles and that which begins to sprout again. “Magnolias grow in my garden,” he wrote.
The actor also focused on Blanca’s siblings and on how her memory continues to be part of the family. “Today I gather your brothers in your name, they ask about you”, he expressed.
From there, Vicuña reconstructed part of his daughter’s story for those who knew her and also for the siblings who arrived after. His memories, the way he looked, the words he used and the family anecdotes thus become a way to keep her present.
