Muna Pauls Takes a Step That Could Change Her Life: Today I Can Say Something I’ve Wanted to Shout for a Long Time

14 August 2026

Muna Pauls is living one of those moments she once imagined when she sang alone in her room.

The artist shared on her social media a series of photographs with officials and representatives of the music industry to announce that she has just taken a huge step in her career: she signed with Sony Music and 5020 RCRDS.

“Today I can say something I long wanted to shout for a very long time: I SIGNED WITH SONY MUSIC AND 5020 RCRDS.🥹🤍”, wrote Muna alongside the images.

The news comes after several years of training and a journey in which music stopped being merely a dream and became her professional path.

“This, before becoming a reality, was a dream”

More than announcing a record deal, Muna chose to share what reaching this point means to her.

“And how strange it feels to write it. Because this, before becoming a reality, was a dream,” she expressed.

In her message, the singer recalled that younger version of herself who imagined a life tied to music.

It was the dream of a little Muna. Who sang alone in her room. Invented songs. Imagined a stage.”

And that very girl appears as one of the major protagonists of her post.

From singing in her room to building a musical career

Muna began showing her interest in music from a very young age. Her first steps were linked to singing, composing, and performing, while she developed her own artistic identity.

In 2022, at the age of 12, she traveled to New York to study musical theatre, an experience that formed part of her artistic search and that she also shared with her followers.

Over the years she remained connected to music and was building her path beyond the idea that her surname would be enough. Her new signing represents another chapter within that journey.

“She persisted, got frustrated, cried, grew hopeful, and started again”

In her post, Muna did not hide that getting this far also involved moments of frustration.

“A Muna who persisted, got frustrated, cried, grew hopeful, and started again,” she wrote.

Therefore, upon learning that she had finally achieved what she had long imagined, she could not help thinking of the girl who dreamed of singing.

“And today, I can’t help thinking of her and getting emotional.”

Her message thus carries a celebratory tone but also an acknowledgment of the entire process that lay behind it.

The new chapter for Muna Pauls

Signing with Sony Music and 5020 Records now opens a new professional chapter for Muna.

Sony Music has production and recording spaces in several cities, including 5020 Studios in Miami, a creative hub that works with artists on the international scene.

For Muna, however, this new step does not represent the arrival at a final goal.

“I want to run to tell her that she did it. That everything she ever imagined is possible today,” she wrote.

And she closed her post with a line that perfectly sums up the moment she is going through:

“And tell her to keep dreaming. This is not the end of the dream. It is the beginning.”

After years of imagining scenarios, composing songs, and training to turn her passion into a profession, Muna Pauls has officially opened a new door in her musical career.
