A mother of a young child and a neighbor of Ramos Mejía, Sol, together with her family, launched a charitable campaign to raise the money needed to face a highly complex treatment. Her case transcended social networks and reached María Becerra, her favorite artist, who decided to get personally involved.
The news was confirmed by her relatives through Sol’s Instagram account, where they shared a heartfelt farewell message: “She fought until the end. We will carry her forever in our hearts.”
They also expressed gratitude for the affection and support received throughout these months, stressing that the backing of thousands of people gave Sol “a life expectancy.”

Sol’s story gained immense attention when she revealed that she needed to raise around 55 million pesos to access a radioembolization, a procedure indicated to treat the lesions caused by cancer.
Upon learning of her situation, María Becerra not only made a substantial donation, but also contacted her personally and offered to cover the cost of the treatment.
The singer even surprised Sol with a visit at her home. The meeting was captured in photos and videos that moved thousands of followers.
