A few weeks after legally marrying Emanuel Ortega, Julieta Prandi spoke again about the legal case against Claudio Contardi, her former partner, who was convicted of repeated and aggravated sexual abuse against the model.
Prandi’s statements emerged after Contardi’s defense filed a new appeal with the Supreme Court of Justice of the Buenos Aires Province in an effort to overturn the sentence of 18 years and six months in prison. The request seeks the acquittal of the businessman, or, subsidiarily, a new trial.
The new filing from Contardi’s lawyers questions, among other points, why during the trial interviews that Prandi gave to several magazines between 2015 and 2017 were not used. According to the defense, those publications could have been used to confront her account during the oral debate.
The appeal arrived after the Buenos Aires Provincial Court of Cassation confirmed the conviction against Contardi. In September, the province’s top criminal court upheld the sentence, although it reduced the original term from 19 years to 18 years and six months of imprisonment.
Julieta Prandi habla about Claudio Contardi’s new appeal
In an interview with LAM (America), Prandi referred to her ex-partner’s latest legal move and said she is calm about the possibility that the defense will keep appealing.
“Of course, he has legal strategies to appeal one or two more times, but it is very unlikely that after Cassation confirmed a sentence this will be reversed,” she stated.
Then the model explained that she trusts the decisions already made by the judiciary and added: “The truth is I am very calm.”

During the interview, the model was also asked how her children, Mateo and Rocco, are coping with the legal process involving their father.
Prandi chose to protect her privacy and avoided sharing details, though she did reveal how they are faring at the moment. “My children are fine, that’s all I’m going to say, they are at peace. It helps them to have him in prison because they’re terrified of him, and I’m not interested in exposing them, but they are doing very well,” she stated.
In this way, the model made clear that she aims to keep her children away from media exposure while the judicial process continues.
The new chapter in Julieta Prandi’s life with Emanuel Ortega
Prandi’s statements come after a very important moment in her personal life. On September 15, the model and Emanuel Ortega were married civilly at the Civil Registry in San Isidro, after six years together and four of living together.
The intimate ceremony was attended by just 36 guests among family and close friends. Among them were Palito Ortega, Evangelina Salazar, and Martín Ortega.
After the wedding, the couple confirmed plans to travel to Miami for their honeymoon. However, the trip was postponed until after the Martín Fierro awards ceremony, scheduled for October 6.
While going through a new phase of the legal process against her ex-partner, Julieta also enjoys a new chapter with Emanuel, with whom she chose to celebrate their marriage in an intimate setting among their closest loved ones.
