During a recent episode of MasterChef Celebrity, the cooking reality show that returned with a new season, Lizy Tagliani opened the doors to her privacy once again and spoke about her current family life. In a chat with Wanda Nara, the host became emotional as she described how she raises her son Tati and recalled how she had imagined her life years ago.
Lizy and her husband Sebastián Nebot recently completed the legal adoption process for Tati, who turned 6 years old in September and also managed to obtain his new documentation.
In the midst of the competition, Wanda approached the table where Lizy was cooking and asked how she was living her current family life. The host’s response was spontaneous and reflected the happiness she shares with her husband and her son.
“Oh dear, he’s in school now. Well, he goes in the morning, but I don’t see him from that hour. So he arrives, sits down to do his homework with my husband. We’re happy, this is the best stage,” she shared about Tati’s routine.

However, the most moving moment arrived when Wanda wanted to know if Lizy was living the family she had once imagined for her life. The answer surprised with its candor. “Honestly, I never dreamed of a family; I always pictured myself as a trans woman, something ordinary, that’s what usually happens,” she said.
With the passing of the years, that view of her own future changed and the host was able to build a reality different from what she had imagined.
Lizy built a close bond with Tati and chose to accompany him naturally through each stage of his growth. In various occasions, the host also spoke publicly about the importance of explaining to him his family history and her identity as a trans woman.
In that sense, she said she sought to talk to her son in a clear and age-appropriate way, so that he could know his story and understand different aspects of his identity.
Tati’s arrival also meant a profound transformation in Lizy’s daily life. The host often shares some family moments and shows herself to be especially committed to accompanying her son as he grows.
Now, while facing new challenges within MasterChef Celebrity, Lizy also enjoys a personal chapter that she described as one of the happiest of her life.
Her reflection in front of Wanda not only articulated the happiness she finds in her family, but also allowed a more intimate part of her story to come to light and how, over time, the way she imagined her own future changed.
