Fashion is also built behind the scenes. And at the Para Ti Gala, guests had the chance to witness it firsthand.
During Para Ti’s 104th anniversary celebration, held on Wednesday, August 19, at the Basavilbaso Palace under the concept “Latency”, a live tapa viva was staged: a real-time fashion production that revealed how a magazine cover is created.
With a model from Lo Management at the center, the production was streamed live and allowed viewers to follow every step of the session, from the makeovers to the on-camera moment.
Beyond simply showing behind the scenes, the concept also acted as a fashion preview: three looks that forecast some of the trends we’ll see making a strong impact in the coming season.
3 Trends for the Upcoming Season
Look 1: Cyclamen Becomes the Season’s Primary Color
The first change of the live tapa viva leaned into one of the upcoming season’s most vibrant hues: cyclamen. The look combined a cropped jacket and fuseau pants with a long dress crafted from crepe and leather, all in the same color family.
Choosing this color transforms the silhouette entirely, nudging the look toward a sophisticated yet daring terrain. The contrast between the fluid texture of crepe and the leather’s bold presence adds depth to an outfit designed to leave an impression.
The look was finished with flat moiré shoes, a detail that adds a more relaxed touch and proves that a high-impact ensemble does not necessarily require heels.
The Trend’s Key: dare to wear an intense color from head to toe. The so-called monocolor makes one hue the true star of the look and, at the same time, creates a silhouette that visually appears more elongated.
Look 2: The New Bohemian Aesthetic Redefined with Transparent Fabrics and Sparkle
The second transformation of the viva cover redirected the gaze toward a more contemporary bohemia, distant from the traditional hippie vibe. Benito Fernández’s proposal paired a sari-gauze poncho with volume with a coordinated set of a sequined crop top and shorts.
The contrast between the lightness and transparency of the gauze and the sparkle of the sequins gave the look a sophisticated, festive edge. It demonstrates how bohemian aesthetics can be refreshed to a more urban and glamorous signature.
Platform sandals completed the look, adding height without taking away from the poncho’s movement.
The Trend’s Key: mix textures and codes. A light, airy piece can coexist with shimmering garments to achieve a contemporary bohemian aesthetic that is more sophisticated and less literal.
Look 3: The Floral Print Transforms into the Central Protagonist
The third viva cover change led the model into a garden of flowers, wearing Natalia Antolín’s printed ensemble consisting of a bodysuit and a skirt.
The floral print enveloped the entire silhouette, turning the pattern into the look’s true star. It revives one of spring’s classic codes and elevates it to a more refined version, where the continuity of the design creates a captivating visual sweep.
To complete the styling, Sylvie Geronimi’s transparent stilettos added a modern touch and allowed the print to command all the attention.
The key to the trend: when print takes center stage, wearing it in two coordinated pieces produces a stronger, more cohesive statement. Neutral or transparent accessories help balance the result without competing with the print.
A Para Ti Cover That Went Face to Face with the Guests
Beyond the outfits, the live tapa brought guests closer to a part of the process that typically stays behind the scenes.
The choice of a model, styling, wardrobe changes, poses, and the teamwork behind it all are part of a production that ultimately becomes a cover image.
At the Para Ti Gala, that process stepped out of the studio and became a shared experience: a live fashion production to show that behind a cover there is much more than a single photograph.
And while the 104th anniversary celebration looked toward the future under the concept “Latency,” fashion also previewed what lies ahead: three looks, three trends, and a first glimpse of the coming season.
