Fashion and Artificial Intelligence: How Technology Is Transforming the Industry

14 August 2026

Who shapes what’s coming today: runways, TikTok, or an algorithm? Fashion is undergoing a transformation that goes far beyond trends… Artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and new ways of connecting with consumers are changing how we discover, choose, and even acquire what we wear.

Technology no longer appears only when buying a garment online. It also influences how brands understand their communities, build identity, present their products, and conceive their businesses.

And as these two worlds draw closer, an inevitable question arises: what will fashion look like in the coming years?

When Innovation Also Sets the Trend

That transformation will be one of the main pillars of Tecnomoda 2026, Tiendanube’s event that blends technology and fashion in a single space, and this year it will be held under the concept “Where innovation sets the trend”.

Tecnomoda will take place this Thursday, August 13, from 4 to 8 PM, and will bring together more than 600 guests, including brands, designers, industry leaders in fashion and tech, content creators, influencers, celebrities and the press.

Artificial intelligence enters the fashion conversation:

One of the major topics will be the impact of technology on an industry historically linked to creativity.

The tech communicator Joan Cwaik will address this relationship in the talk “Fashion in the AI and Algorithms Era.” Meanwhile, Catalina Greloni Pierri, journalist, fashion consultant and Head of Marketing at Giesso, will analyze the local landscape in “Change and Reinvention: Fashion in Argentina Today.”

The business perspective will also be present. Franco Radavero, General Manager of Tiendanube Argentina, and Camila Nasir, Brand and Communications Manager at Tiendanube, will discuss e-commerce and the link between retail and technology.

Finally, Eva Hughes, leader in Latin American fashion business and former director of Vogue Mexico and Latin America, will close the talks with “The Invisible Advantage” offering perspectives for the industry.

Argentine fashion also takes the runway:

The future-focused conversation will coexist with what remains at the heart of the industry: collections and design. Throughout the afternoon there will be three fashion shows starring Monofuk, Mija, and Honky Tonk.

Additionally, Luz Ballestero, Neratta, Lucky Brand, Belona, Natalia Antolín and Pucheta Paz, among others, will participate with window displays and activations. The event will be hosted by Chino Leunis and Luli Fernández, while Sofía Macaggi will lead the live streaming, available on Tiendanube’s YouTube channel.

The names in fashion who will be present:

The lineup will also bring together figures and content creators linked to the fashion universe. Zaira Nara, Gege Neumann, Sofía Zamolo, Fabián Medina Flores, Andrea Burstein, Cale Ruggeri, and Lulu Biaus are some of the names slated for the day.

The second edition of Tecnomoda arrives after a debut that gathered more than 600 people in 2025 and once again fosters a conversation that seems just getting started.

Because today a trend can be born on a runway, explode on TikTok, and reach our wardrobe in a matter of days. Fashion has changed its pace, its codes, and even how we discover it. And everything suggests this is only the beginning…
