Evangelina Bomparola Celebrates Fashion and Art at Her Avenida Alvear Boutique

17 October 2026

Fashion and art have always shared common ground, and Evangelina Bomparola proved it once again with a proposal that fused both worlds. In the framework of the third edition of BAFA, the designer welcomed friends and special guests to her Avenida Alvear 1946 boutique to share an experience where design, creativity, and contemporary art played leading roles.

The gathering took place on Thursday, October 15, and revolved around the artistic intervention of the store’s storefront window, carried out by Mariela Vita, an artist from Galería del Infinito.

The project invited visitors to pause, observe, and discover new connections between Bomparola’s aesthetic universe and Vita’s artistic vision, transforming a space dedicated to fashion into a stage for cultural expression.

On this occasion, the designer carried that perspective to her Avenida Alvear boutique, one of the most emblematic settings of Buenos Aires luxury.

Mariela Vita’s storefront intervention proposed a dialogue between apparel design and the visual arts, inviting visitors to discover new ways of interpreting space, materials, and forms.

More than a presentation, the event reflected one of the convictions that define the brand’s identity: fashion is not an isolated universe, but part of a continuous conversation with art, culture, and the city.

The protagonist of this artistic experience was Mariela Vita, an Argentine visual artist represented by Galería del Infinito.

Trained in Plastic Arts and Design in Visual Communication at the National University of La Plata, Vita developed a distinct language that blends sculpture and installation.

Her work explores the relationships between nature, the body, and artifice, using organic and industrial materials that coexist in compositions of great visual sensitivity.

Since 2002 she has participated in both solo and group exhibitions and has received distinctions from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Braque Prize. Moreover, her works are part of public and private collections in Argentina and abroad, including the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires.

The universe of Evangelina Bomparola: Argentine design, luxury, and exclusivity

Evangelina Bomparola founded her label in 2002, during a particularly challenging period for Argentina. Since then, she has managed to solidify an identity within national design, offering a proposition that blends elegance, quality, and a contemporary outlook.

Her creative universe takes Buenos Aires as a constant source of inspiration and manifests through evening gowns, tailoring, and leather garments.

With four annual collections, the designer upholds a philosophy that defines her approach to fashion: produce little and well.

The choice of materials, the development of pattern-making, and the artisanal finishes constitute some of the pillars of a brand that prioritizes its own design, craftsmanship, and exclusivity over fleeting trends.

The intervention presented during BAFA reaffirmed that aesthetic and conceptual pursuit, illustrating how a boutique can also become a space where different creative disciplines meet.
