For more than a month now, Denisse González has been undergoing a complex health process that required two hospitalizations due to a sharp drop in her platelet levels. In the midst of her treatment and just a few days after revealing the exact name of her diagnosis, the former Big Brother contestant recalled how the first symptoms she had been ignoring for days had appeared, without her realizing it.
The content creator spoke in an interview with Infobae that the situation overwhelmed her during a routine day and she decided to schedule a virtual medical consultation. When the professional asked her to show her mouth, she discovered that she was experiencing excessive bleeding.
The doctor’s reaction was immediate. “He told me: ‘You need to go to the emergency room right away.’ I told him I wanted to shower because I had just arrived, and he said no,” Denisse recalled.
Asked by María Laura Santillán whether she herself had noticed the blood, the influencer said yes. “My gums were bleeding, but you never think it means something serious. I said: ‘Oh, I’m being silly, I just brushed my teeth quickly’ and I thought it would pass,” she explained.
However, during the video call, the physician warned that the situation required urgent attention.
