There are cities capable of setting trends straight from the runway. And then there’s Copenhagen, where much of what we want to watch happens outside the shows.
During Fashion Week, the streets once again transformed into a parallel runway. This time, there was something particularly interesting: fewer looks built around a single viral piece and a lot more mixing, personality, and freedom in how things are paired.
The result is fashion that feels playful again. A romantic dress can be worn with flat sandals; Bermuda shorts with a masculine shirt and ballet flats; lace coexists with leather and denim; and a corset can appear beneath a classic blazer.
Rather than rules, Copenhagen has left a fresh manual for breaking them. And these are the cues we’re likely to see multiplied for the upcoming Spring-Summer 2026/27.

1. Lace ceases to be romantic and becomes an urban staple
If there’s one material that keeps showing up again and again, it’s lace. But forget its exclusively evening or romantic associations.
It appears in white blouses paired with oversized jeans, in sheer, long skirts, in shorts worn beneath knitwear, and even in complete outfits.

There’s even a particularly interesting version: the relaxed, almost sporty Bermuda, paired with a classic piece. A fine example of the new informal luxury dominating Scandinavian street style.
And it has a big advantage: it’s an extremely easy trend to adapt to the Argentine spring.
4. Chocolate brown, burgundy, and red: the palette that replaces black
Brown continues to gain ground. Chocolate, coffee, burgundy, and wine tones appear in leather pants, tops, boots, and accessories.
But the novelty lies in how they’re combined.
Intense red becomes one of the favorite accents: a bag, a scarf, a sandal, or a shirt can completely transform a neutral ensemble.
Also appearing are butter tones, powder pink, and soft green, signaling a season where warm and slightly aged colors will take center stage.
5. The head scarf is the accessory that changes everything again
If last summer started subtly, it’s now confirmed: the head scarf will be one of the standout accessories of the coming season.
The interesting part is that there isn’t a single way to wear it. It can cover the entire hair, be tied like a bandana, accompany a bun, or work almost like a turban.
Knit beanies and small hats also reappear, even in transitional outfits.
That slightly retro aesthetic — bridging the 1950s, the 1970s, and a chic grandmother’s wardrobe — is something Copenhagen knows how to refresh like few cities can.
6. Flip-flops are officially city-ready shoes
Perhaps one of the most debated trends, but the images leave no doubt: flat shoes rule the street style.
Minimalist flip-flops, toe-post sandals, ballet flats, mesh shoes, fisherman-style sandals, and nearly sporty versions accompany dresses, tailoring, and refined skirts.
Even when a heel appears, it tends to be small and delicate.

7. Tactile fashion returns
Lace, openwork fabrics, fringes, raffia, leather, embroidery, sheers, feathers, artisanal fabrics.
The upcoming season will feature a lot of texture.
Rather than building interest solely with color, looks play with materials that are very different from one another. A fringed leather top pairs with denim; a handcrafted-looking handbag accompanies a refined blouse; a crocheted cardigan is worn over lingerie.
After several seasons dominated by absolute minimalism, a much more sensory fashion returns.
8. Proportions become deliberately strange
Copenhagen also confirms the end of a rule that for years seemed untouchable: the need to always “balance” proportions.
Now an enormous pair of pants can sit with an equally voluminous blouse. An XXL T-shirt can be worn over a longer layer. A skirt can appear over pants. And a masculine blazer can accompany oversized Bermuda shorts.
It’s a freer silhouette, where volume is no longer used merely to flatter the body and instead serves as a creative resource.
9. Romance returns, but without naivety
Floral patterns, oversized bows, ruffles, sheer fabrics, pink hues, and vintage-inspired dresses are back.
But the new romance has something different: it breaks away immediately from another element.
A floral dress appears with black sandals. A delicate pink skirt with an open cardigan and visible lingerie. A huge red bow is paired with a rustic-looking handbag.
It isn’t about dressing romantic from head to toe, but about introducing a feminine piece into a look that’s far less predictable.
10. The most important trend: dressing without looking overthought
Perhaps this is the true key to Copenhagen.
The best looks seem built from pieces that, in theory, should not belong together: lace and leather, tailoring and sportswear, sheers and rustic textiles, lingerie shorts and Nordic sweaters.
There is sophistication, but also a certain intentional, delightful disorder.
And there emerges the overarching trend that cuts across all the others: the return of personal style after several seasons dominated by overly defined and uniform aesthetics.
How to wear these trends in Argentina’s spring
You don’t need to redo your entire wardrobe. A white lace blouse, a pair of wide Bermuda shorts, a printed scarf, flat sandals, and a red or chocolate-brown accessory are enough to refresh pieces you already own.
Because what Copenhagen proposes for the coming season isn’t about buying a new uniform, but rather the opposite: reverting to playing with clothing.
Mix together items that seemed incompatible, revive forgotten pieces, and dare that small, unexpected detail that makes a look go from merely correct to truly interesting.
