Cazón: Town of a Million Trees to Host Its First Festival of the Senses

2 October 2026

There are getaways that invite you to fill your schedule and others that suggest leaving room to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Cazón, known as the “town of the million trees”, belongs to the second group: dirt roads, birdsong, and trails among the trees are part of its appeal.

Located about 15 kilometers from Saladillo, this small destination in Buenos Aires Province will have a new reason to visit in the spring. On Sunday, October 25, 2026 the inaugural edition of the Festival of the Senses will take place, a day that will bring together wellness, music and movement proposals in a natural setting.

The invitation is simple: pause from the routine and pay attention to what often goes unnoticed, from the scent of plants to the sounds of the forest.

What the first Festival of the Senses in Cazón will be like

The gathering will take place at the Base de Campamento de Cazón, inside the Eduardo L. Holmberg Municipal Nursery. The initiative arises from the collaborative work of representatives of various ventures and Saladillo’s Tourism Department, as a wellness tourism proposal.

The day will begin with a Fire Ceremony, conceived by the organizers as a moment to share a collective intention and to articulate a personal one.

Afterwards, the program will offer a variety of activities so that each visitor can choose according to their interests. Among the announced proposals are Hatha Yoga, circular dance, mindful eating, personal development and daily use of medicinal plants.

There will also be family constellations, biodecoding, shamanic drum, gong therapy and a handpan concert. This is a lineup that brings together movement practices, holistic approaches and sonic experiences.

Some activities will be free and others will require a fee. In addition, there will be spaces for entrepreneurs and proposals related to holistic well-being.

The festival is designed for both those who already know these experiences and those who feel curious and want to approach them for the first time.

The Town of the Million Trees: What to Discover in Cazón

Nature will be a central part of the gathering. And in Cazón, there is a space that allows visitors to get to know that heritage up close: the Eduardo L. Holmberg Municipal Nursery, spanning 210 hectares.

Its trails invite you to walk among trees and plants, discover different species, and traverse the forest via a self-guided audio circuit. It is also a setting for birdwatching and for enjoying the colors and scents that spring brings.

The appeal lies in exploring it slowly: stopping in front of a tree, listening to the surrounding sounds, or following a path without the urge to finish a predetermined itinerary.

That possibility to slow down is one of the festival’s pillars, which aims to add to the visit several ways to experience the landscape.

A Spring Getaway to Enjoy Unhurriedly

Beyond the festival itself, Cazón offers reasons to stay a little longer. The nursery, the dirt paths, the local ventures and the dining options allow for a stroll that blends nature with village life.

The idea is to take advantage of the visit to wander, pause, and discover the place at a different pace. For those looking to swap the everyday hustle for a day outdoors, the festival can be a good starting point.
