Caro Trippar Reveals She Has Breast Cancer: “I Mistook Mastitis and Didn’t Detect It in Time”

25 July 2026

After several weeks of silence on social networks, Caro Trippar decided to reveal the reason she had been away from her community. In a video published on her YouTube channel, the influencer disclosed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and opened her heart by sharing the difficult journey she has undergone since receiving the news.

I have cancer. I can’t believe I’m saying this. I’ve known for months, but it’s still hard for me to talk about it“, she confessed at the start of the video, visibly moved.

The content creator explained that the footage was recorded on May 25, as soon as she learned of the diagnosis, and that for two months she doubted whether to make it public.

I’ve had this video sitting on my computer for months saying: ‘Should I upload it or not?’. Today I feel strong and I sense that the moment to share it has arrived“, she said.

“Very few people knew”

Caro explained that even many of her friends would learn the news only when they watched the video.

Very few people know about it. It’s such an awkward topic that I just didn’t talk about this“, she explained.

During this time she continued working while undergoing medical tests and consultations, trying to maintain her routine despite the emotional impact of the diagnosis.

They told me my cancer had no cure and then I would go to work as if nothing had happened. I don’t even know how I did it. Then I broke down“, she recalled.

The influencer also revealed that the process was devastating both physically and emotionally.

Nunca en mi vida estuve tan mal a nivel mental. Le tengo muchísimo pánico a las agujas y lo único que vi estos últimos meses fueron agujas. Me hicieron resonancias, tomografías, biopsias… No tienen idea por todo lo que pasé“, she confessed.

“I’m going to fight with a lot of grit”

In the video, Trippar explained that she is still awaiting some results to determine with precision the characteristics of the tumor and to define the definitive treatment, although she already knows she will have to endure a long chemotherapy process.

They told me that my hair is going to fall out, that it’s inevitable. I’m 34 years old and I have cancer. I never expected to see this in my life“, she expressed with distress.

She also spoke about the fear she feels about everything that lies ahead.

I don’t know how chemotherapy will affect me, whether I’ll be tired or not. Honestly, I know nothing at all. But I’m going to fight with a lot of grit, I’ll do everything the doctor tells me, and I’ll keep going“, she assured.

In addition, she confessed that another worry that arose was the impact of the treatment on her plans to become a mother again.

I want to rest, but at the same time maybe I want to have another child. I’m very confused. There are many important decisions I have to make“, she said.

The guilt over not detecting the symptoms earlier

One of the most moving moments of the account was when she explained that she mistook the initial warning signs for issues related to breastfeeding, since her son Milo was born a few months earlier.

Me confundí una mastitis con un cáncer y no lo agarré a tiempo porque estaba dando la teta

According to her, the pain and changes she felt in one of her breasts seemed compatible with the breastfeeding process.

There are many symptoms that, in hindsight, if I had known they were warning signs, I would have gone to check earlier. But I linked everything to breastfeeding“, she said.

With great honesty, she acknowledged that she still grapples with the frustration of thinking what would have happened if she had consulted sooner.

I’m dealing with all that anger about not realizing sooner. But the truth is I didn’t know“, she said.

The message she wants to convey

Beyond sharing her story, Caro explained that she decided to make the diagnosis public because, when she received the news, she sought testimonies from other young women going through a similar situation and found very little material.

I turned a lot to looking for women who were going through the same thing as me. I wanted to know what the treatment was like, how it affects you. I didn’t find much, and that’s why I decided to document everything“, she explained.

Therefore, she transformed her experience into a strong awareness message aimed at all women.

If there’s one thing I want to take from all this, it is early detection. I want you, on the other side, to check your breasts every month. If you feel a lump, no matter how tiny, go get checked. Even if you’re breastfeeding“, she urged.

And she emphasized, with evident emotion:

Check your breasts, please. Don’t neglect yourself. Do it for me. I didn’t know“.

The support of her family and a very personal decision

In the final stretch of the video, the influencer thanked especially her partner, Sebastián, and her mother for the support they provided during these months, as well as the medical team that treated her.

She also clarified why she chose to announce the news in this way.

I don’t want anyone to treat me differently. If you’re learning about this through this video, it’s not for you, it’s for me. I’m not ready to have that conversation again and again“, she explained.

Finally, she assured that she will continue sharing her process in the hope of supporting other women who may be facing a similar situation.

I will accompany you all throughout this process. I will try to keep it from being too down. There will be good days and bad days, but I want to share it because I feel it can help someone“, she concluded.
