Candela Arizaga, Facundo Moyano’s Girlfriend, Reveals Why She Ran Half-Naked: “I Had Hallucinations”

6 August 2026

After several days of uncertainty surrounding the episode in which she appeared alongside Facundo Moyano, Candela Arizaga spoke publicly again. The young woman appeared this Thursday afternoon at the Prosecutor’s Office, where she testified as part of the investigation into what happened during the early hours of Tuesday, when she was seen running through the streets of Belgrano in underwear.

Upon leaving the judicial facility, Arizaga was approached by various media outlets and provided details about her current state and what she remembers from that night. In that context, she was emphatic in denying that violence had occurred on Moyano’s part.

“It wasn’t a matter of violence; I had hallucinations,” she asserted to América TV. And added: “I hardly remember anything from the episode.”

Candela Arizaga recounted what she remembers from that dawn

The influencer explained that she still has large gaps about what happened and that she could only reconstruct part of the situation after the images shown to her during her appearance at the Prosecutor’s Office.

“I don’t remember anything about the episode, nor about the dog or anything. In fact, when I arrived at the hospital I asked about my dog and said he was in the apartment,” she related.

According to her account, one of the few memories she retains is the moment she tried to board a bus.

“I only remember that I tried to get on a bus, I remember running down the street,” she said.

Furthermore, she revealed a detail she learned that Thursday by watching the images included in the investigation. “I saw the images they showed me at the Prosecutor’s Office and I saw that I was being chased by someone else, who they now tell me is a police officer,” she noted.

Arizaga also referenced the impact the incident had on social media and the criticisms she received in the days that followed.

“I faced a lot of hate on social media; many things will be said, but in reality I had hallucinations and I hardly remember anything,” she expressed.

She again denies being a victim of violence

Once again, the model was firm when referring to her connection with Moyano and dismissed that she had been subjected to a violent situation.

“I wasn’t subjected to violence. If that were the case, I’d be the first to say so and would fight against it,” she maintained.

Her statements add to what she had previously said in an interview with TN, where she also claimed that the ex-député hadn’t harmed her and that she had undergone “a breakdown.”

“The problem was never him; he didn’t do anything to me,” she had stated at that time.

Now, after testifying before the authorities, she reiterated her position and explained that her aim is to navigate this period with calmness.

What she said about Facundo Moyano and their relationship

Arizaga also addressed Moyano directly and confirmed that, for the moment, there is a restraining distance between them.

“I haven’t seen Moyano since; I have a perimeter restraint,” she said.

However, when asked about the romantic bond they maintain, she left the answer open: “I think we’re dating, but we’ll see how we handle this, how we move forward.”

The young woman also explained that the relationship had not been publicly disclosed up to now. “We didn’t have a publicly exposed relationship, but we got to know each other earlier this year,” she revealed.

Regarding Moyano as a partner, she was complimentary: “As a partner, he is very supportive.”

And despite the distance imposed by the judicial measure, she admitted that she is going through this moment with sadness: “I am very sad about all of this and I miss him.”

Candela will step back for a while and head away with her family

After going through the episode and the public exposure it generated, Arizaga said she now needs to take some distance and rest.

“Now I’m going to spend some time with my family to rest,” she announced.

The model had previously explained that she was processing what happened and that she had received a large amount of criticism on social networks.

In the meantime, the judicial investigation continues to determine what occurred during that early morning and what circumstances led the young woman to leave the apartment and subsequently end up on the street.

Facundo Moyano, for his part, regained his freedom after giving his statement during questioning. The case remains under investigation and, according to information released so far, maintains the protective measures ordered by the Court, including the restraining order regarding Arizaga.
