In the framework of her trip to Santiago de Chile, where she accompanied Benjamín Vicuña to his homeland, Anita Espasandín shared several moments from her sightseeing days. Among landscapes, car rides, walks, and nighttime outings, the businesswoman also showcased some of her outfits, and one in particular became the centerpiece.
Vicuña’s partner dazzled in a ensemble that blended stripes, checks, and animal print, making it clear that minimalism doesn’t always have to define a look. On the contrary, the proposal leaned into mixing colors and patterns to create an original, modern outfit with a bold sense of personality.
Anita Espasandín opted for a mix of prints
The businesswoman chose a short coat featuring vertical stripes in varying tones. Yellow, blue, green, violet, and gray were distributed across the garment, generating a striking visual effect.

Although the palette leaned toward cool tones, the yellow served as a contrasting highlight, bringing brightness to the ensemble. The result was a vibrant combination, ideal for an outdoor day and mild weather.
The design also stood out for its short, slightly oversized silhouette, with long sleeves and a front slit that reinforced its artisanal yet contemporary spirit. Since this was the standout piece of the look, Anita allowed the rest of the garments to complement without introducing elements that would overwhelm the overall proposal.

The long skirt that completed the ensemble
To accompany the coat, Anita chose a long skirt with a checked print within the same color family. The design fused blocks of dark blue, green, yellow, and gray, creating an intriguing visual dialogue with the stripes on the upper part.
The choice demonstrates that stripes and checks can coexist in a single look when there is a unifying element. In this case, the color palette was the key to tying both prints together and maintaining the outfit’s harmony.

Additionally, the length of the skirt added movement and created a balanced contrast with the short silhouette of the coat. The combination forged a slender, sophisticated silhouette and lent a refined touch to a proposal that still carried a relaxed, urban vibe.
Animal print: the boldest detail of the look
Accessories were tasked with taking the style a step further. Anita completed the ensemble with animal-print sunglasses, which imparted a retro and sophisticated aura.
On her feet she wore footwear featuring an animal-print pattern in brown, black, and red, which became one of the most striking elements of the outfit. To round out the look, she added white socks with small black animal-print motifs.

Far from competing with the stripes and checks, the animal print acted as an accent that reinforced the look’s maximalist spirit. The key lay in repeating the print across different accessories to create visual continuity without sacrificing balance.
With this choice, Anita moved away from the classic minimalist look and opted for a formula in which stripes, checks, and animal print coexist based on color, proportions, and accessories. The result was a bold yet harmonious styling that demonstrates that mixing prints can also be a sophisticated way to dress and build a look with its own identity.
