During the course of this Saturday, September 12, Paula Chaves and Pedro Alfonso organized a very special day at Parque de la Costa, the iconic amusement park located in Tigre. Surrounded by their loved ones, their friends, and their three children (Olivia, Baltazar and Filipa), the couple used the weekend to reconnect with fun and adrenaline.
True to their genuine, approachable style and full of humor, Paula documented every moment of the outing on her social networks. While filming her children enjoying the flying chairs and looking for the best shot of Filipa, the model joked about the fears that certain rides awaken in her.
“I don’t pass traumas on to my children. I don’t pass fears on to my kids. Repeat after me,” she said with a laugh as she captured the excitement of the youngest ones.
“Who turned out so brave?” she asked her husband with irony, making clear the playful bond that defines their relationship.
The fun continued when the couple decided to ride one of the park’s roller coasters. Paula filmed the most dizzying moments and, while she laughed, Pedro screamed in fear mid-descent with a doll behind him dressed as a frog raising its arms.
Later, the actor took on the role of accompanying the group of children in the boldest games, something his wife celebrated with much humor: “The responsible adult,” she captioned over a photo of the ride in operation.
Thus, the actress showcased a day filled with laughter, shared memories, and unforgettable moments in which the adults also became kids for a while.
From Difficult Moments to Lessons in Parenting
The family getaway arrives a few days after Paula shared an emotional reflection on the program PH, Podemos Hablar (Telefe). In that episode, the model recalled the severe economic crisis her family faced at the beginning of the 2000s, an event that completely transformed her teenage life.
At 15, Paula had to leave San Isidro to move with her mother and siblings to a borrowed house in the town of Lobos, after her father suffered the bankruptcy of his textile company. That change meant moving away from friends, her school, and the everyday rituals she knew.
Over the years, the host managed to reinterpret that experience not as a loss, but as a fundamental pillar of her current strength. Far from keeping a negative memory, Paula values that sudden turn as a key lesson for her personal life and for the mother she is today.
“Looking at it now, it was the best thing that happened to me. I think it shaped me as a person, to value things. These days, my children can have anything, but I try to ensure they value everything they have. That everything is earned through hard work,” she reflected.
That same lesson extends to the present she shares with Alfonso, especially as they carry out renovations and improvements on their family home. “Now we are building our own house, and all the time I tell them: ‘Our spending is here, we have to think about our little house, which is our roof.’ So that they understand that we are doing all of this with a lot of effort,” she emphasized.
Between playful strolls and moments of connection, Paula shows that the true value of family life lies in enjoying the present with joy, while passing on values of gratitude, hard work, and daily support.
