On Sunday, November 1, 2026, a private plane crashed in Greenacres, in Palm Beach County, Florida, during a flight that had departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, bound for the Bahamas. The aircraft went down around 12:50 PM local time, near Military Trail and Cresthaven Boulevard.
The impact sparked a fire and mobilized firefighters, police, and emergency crews. United States Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that the nine people on board died in the crash.
Although authorities had not officially released the complete victim list, various U.S. outlets, including the Associated Press, CNN, and TMZ, disclosed the identities of those aboard the private jet.
Among the passengers was Adam Robinson, a 45-year-old businessman, together with his wife, Helen Sharp, and their two young children, Emma and Charlie. Also traveling were two close family friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, and the children’s nanny, Anita Maria Cetina.

The aircraft was also piloted by two individuals. The co-pilot was Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20 years old. Regarding the other pilot, various news reports identified him as Jeff Gregory, 55.

The crew’s messages before the accident
Communications between the crew and air traffic control allowed investigators to reconstruct part of the moments leading up to the impact. During the flight, the pilots reported passing through a zone of moderate turbulence and dealing with icing forming on the aircraft.
Given those conditions, they requested clearance to climb in search of a more favorable situation. However, shortly thereafter, the communications reflected an increasingly critical scenario: the aircraft began to lose altitude rapidly, and the crew warned of an over-speed condition.
The recordings also captured emergency calls before impact. While these exchanges provide information about the last minutes of the flight, they still do not by themselves establish what caused the accident.
What is known about the causes of the Florida crash
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States is in charge of the investigation, with the cooperation of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Reports of turbulence, icing, and adverse weather conditions are among the elements that investigators will analyze. However, to date there has been no official determination of what caused the aircraft to crash.
The investigation will determine how weather conditions influenced the sequence of events during the flight and whether other factors contributed to the disaster.
