In the midst of the buzz surrounding Lali Espósito and Pedro Rosemblat’s wedding, the host’s family also drew public attention. One of the figures who has kept a relatively reserved profile is Marcela Amado, his mother, who built an extensive career in the fashion world and even worked alongside Susana Giménez.
At 65, Amado has a professional trajectory that began in front of the cameras and continued behind the scenes, as a producer and image consultant. Throughout her career she shared spaces with renowned figures in the industry and went through different stages within the sector.
Marcela Amado: Her Beginnings as a Model and Her Paris Experience
Marcela Amado began her modeling career when, accompanied by her mother, she walked into the agency of Ricardo Piñeiro. With a height of 1.75 meters and a slender silhouette, she started to carve out a path in the modeling world, where she shared that period with figures such as Karina Laskarin, Ginette Reynal and Karina Rabolini.

In 1984, she participated in and won a contest that gave her the opportunity to work in Paris. The international experience represented a professional and personal challenge, as she had to face emotional ups and downs and the pressure surrounding body image.
A while later, she returned to Buenos Aires and remained involved in modeling for a few more years. However, she found a new way to develop her passion for the industry: she began working as a fashion producer, handling tasks related to selling shows and advertising campaigns for denim brands.
Her Work with Susana Giménez
During her period as a fashion producer, Amado was presented with the opportunity to work with Susana Giménez. At that time, she was working at a women’s magazine when she received a Telefe proposal to become the host’s wardrobe stylist on her program.
The task required a structured and precise organization to guarantee the continuity of the clothing during the various stages of the recordings that had been planned in advance. That challenge allowed her to develop a working dynamic that became one of her professional strengths.

With time, Amado managed to build a strong connection with the diva, accompanying her even on projects in her final years.
They also shared activities beyond the workplace. Although the former model said they do not always agree on their opinions and that they do not maintain daily contact, she stated in an interview that she is available whenever Susana calls her for any work.
Marcela Amado’s Family History and Her Children
In 1990 Pedro was born, her first son. Amado raised him as a single mother since he was 11 years old, after his former partner moved to Spain. Years later she had Juana, the fruit of her relationship with Martín Egozcue.

If anything, Amado prefers to keep a low profile and stay away from media exposure, her name gained more interest after Pedro’s wedding to Lali Espósito. The wedding marked a new chapter for the family and brought to the forefront a woman who built her own path in fashion, straddling runways, production, and work alongside major television figures.
