Esquina Esquina, the brand created by Josefina Roveta, managed to fuse both elements in the presentation of its Spring-Summer 2027 collection, with a proposal that rekindled the nostalgia of Argentine towns and transformed it into a fashion universe filled with sensuality, romance and nods to our roots.

A earth-toned runway, a car as part of the staging, and two unexpected protagonists completed the narrative: Sofía Gonet and Eva De Dominici, who became the grand queens of a night in which lace, corsets, horseshoes and crystals took center stage.

The inspiration was as original as it was moving: the regional beauty queen elections, strolls around the plaza, the flirtation of dressing to go out, and that very Argentine ritual of meeting with others.
But far from a literal or nostalgic gaze, Roveta reinterpreted all those codes from a contemporary perspective, blending lingerie-inspired garments, artisanal materials and silhouettes that celebrate femininity.
Sofía Gonet: corset, lace and a movie-scene entrance
Sofía Gonet, better known as La Reini, was one of the show’s standout protagonists. Her appearance atop the hood of a car marked one of the event’s most theatrical moments.

For the occasion, she wore a black bodysuit with a corseted structure, a plunging neckline, floral lace and small metallic bows on the straps. The garment incorporated garters and was paired with an irregular white translucent lace skirt and stockings with cutouts.
The contrast between black and white, the sheerness and the metallic details turned the ensemble into a bold interpretation of the lingerie trend.
The styling was completed with a two-row Swarovski crystal choker, adding an extra dose of sparkle.
The beauty look also matched the concept: voluminous hair with an eighties-inspired quiff, created by the Mala Peluquería team led by Juanma Cativa, and high-impact makeup with defined liner, strong blush and glossy lips, by Vero Luna and her team. The shine extended to the arms through luminous tattoos.
A look where sensuality, retro spirit and extravagance met with natural ease.
Eva De Dominici: a contemporary queen dressed in champagne
If Sofía Gonet contributed the edgier side of the show, Eva De Dominici was tasked with delivering glamour for the grand finale.

The actress appeared in a champagne-colored satin ensemble consisting of a strapless bodice and a body-skimming skirt.
The design fused two seemingly opposite universes: the delicacy of lingerie and the tradition of creole rope-work.
The artisanal work by Jerónimo Coll stood out in the upper piece, while the hanging metallic horseshoe pendants on the skirt revived one of Esquina’s most recognizable symbols.
As a final touch, Eva wore a crown of Swarovski crystals that completed her transformation into a true contemporary beauty queen.
Her look summed up much of the collection’s spirit: a strong and sensual femininity, finding in Argentine crafts a different way to express luxury.
Esquina Esquina spring-summer 2027: the nostalgia of towns turned into fashion
Behind the spectacle lay a very clear idea. Josefina Roveta started from the social rituals of towns: plazas as gathering places, the classic stroll, popular celebrations, and beauty queen coronations.

In that imagery, dressing up is never merely an individual act. It is also a way to present oneself, to belong, and to participate in communal life.
The collection translated that idea into garments where pastels coexisted with lace, sheerness, bows, satin fabrics and metallic accessories.

Corsets and lingerie-inspired pieces held a central place, but appeared reinterpreted with resources that recall the Argentine rural universe.
The horseshoe, one of the brand’s emblems, reappeared as a talisman and decorative element. It was joined by metallic bows, which offered a more romantic and feminine reading of those equestrian codes.

The result was a proposal that bridged the delicate with the rustic, the intimate with the public, and the traditional with the contemporary.
Argentine craftsmanship, one of the collection’s great values
Beyond the celebrities and the spectacular staging, one of the most interesting aspects of the show was the incorporation of artisanal techniques that form part of our cultural heritage.

Among them appeared randa, a traditional textile technique linked to colonial lace, which remains alive thanks to the work of artisans like Claudia Aybar.
Made on a hand-woven cotton mesh, this craft enables the construction of delicate patterns inspired by nature and, especially, by the Tucumán landscape.
The presence of these techniques was not merely ornamental. It was a way of integrating knowledge transmitted from generation to generation into a contemporary design language.

Creole rope-work, present in some garments, reinforced that dialogue between fashion and tradition.

In this way, Esquina once again demonstrated that Argentine crafts can also become protagonists in a contemporary fashion proposal.
A front row full of famous faces
The show also gathered numerous figures from Argentina’s entertainment and fashion scenes.

In the front row were Camila Homs, Emilia Attias, Florencia de la V, Cale Ruggeri, Benicio Gravier, Verónica de la Canal, Candelaria and Micaela Tinelli, among other guests.

The looks chosen by the celebrities also spoke to the brand’s aesthetic universe: equestrian details, bows, fitted silhouettes, miniskirts and textures that blended romance and sensuality.

A front row that ended up consolidating the show as one of the season’s standout fashion gatherings.

The trend Esquina Esquina leaves behind: a new way of looking at Argentine fashion
The Spring-Summer 2027 collection delivered a message that goes beyond lace and sheer fabrics.

In a moment when trends circulate globally and often seem repetitive, Esquina Esquina chose to look inward, reclaim native symbols and transform them into a fashion language with identity.
Lingerie stopped belonging exclusively to the intimate universe, horseshoes became jewelry, traditional crafts found a new stage, and the village queens returned to occupy the center of the scene.
Among crowns, crystals and artisanal garments, Josefina Roveta built her own universe in which Argentine fashion does not need to look outward for inspiration.
And perhaps that is the most interesting trend her show left behind: returning to our roots, but with a completely new perspective.
