Juliana Awada chose a Haute Couture design by Javier Saiach to celebrate her daughter Antonia Macri‘s 15th birthday in Buenos Aires. With French lace, sheer panels, and a black tulle skirt, the businesswoman wore a dress that blended sophistication, sensuality, and meticulous artisanal craftsmanship.
In an exclusive interview with Para Ti, the designer shared the details of the creation and described the features of a piece that, behind its apparent simplicity, hides meticulous artisanal work. From the French lace to the hand-applied embellishments, every element was conceived to achieve a balance between the delicacy of the materials and the contemporary architecture of the dress.

Juliana Awada and a Haute Couture Dress Featuring French Lace and Sheer Panels
When describing the design, Javier Saiach emphasized its modern and sophisticated imprint: “A Haute Couture dress with a bateau neckline, contemporary and refined, featuring a geometric structure with square side panels that subtly reveal the skin and a bustier entirely worked by hand.”
Material choice was crucial in shaping the piece. According to the designer, “the creation blends Solstiss French lace with delicate cutwork, flowers and volumetric leaves.” Additionally, “the edges of the Chantilly are enhanced by an artisanal trim made of silk thread.”

The design played with transparency through the side openings and the hand-worked bustier. Beneath, Juliana wore a bandeau and a culotte, which complemented the structure of the dress and subtly revealed the skin.
A Black Tulle Skirt That Brought Movement and Volume
The other notable detail of the creation lay at the hem, where the skirt added volume and movement. In Saiach’s words, “at the hem, several layers of black tulle contribute volume, movement, and lift to a piece with minimalist lines and contemporary architecture.”

The combination of a geometrically structured bodice with the fluidity of tulle created a contrast of textures and shapes. Floral lace, raised appliqués and artisanal finishes completed a proposal in which every element played a role within the design.
Javier Saiach’s Take on Juliana Awada’s Look
Summarizing the concept behind the silhouette, the designer highlighted the craftsmanship hidden within: “A creation where apparent simplicity reveals the complexity of Haute Couture.”.
For Antonia Macri’s 15th birthday party, Juliana Awada opted for a dress that fused French lace, sheer panels, and black tulle. A Javier Saiach creation where the sophistication of the lines met the richness of materials and artisanal craftsmanship.
