Denisse González’s health, a former participant of Big Brother, once again raised concerns after she reported another hospitalization due to a drop in her platelet levels. For nearly two months, the influencer has been sharing that she experiences episodes of decline and that she has been diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
In earlier interviews, Denisse explained that this condition is marked by a reduction in platelets, which play a fundamental role in blood clotting.
Although she had received medical clearance a week earlier, another drop in her values necessitated a return to the hospital for continued medical monitoring. This marks her fourth hospitalization, and through her social networks she chose to share how she is doing and to anticipate that she will step away from the digital world for a few days to prioritize her recovery.
“4th hospitalization. The platelets dropped again,” she wrote about a selfie taken from the hospital bed. She then explained that she needs to rest and concentrate on her health.

The symptoms Denisse González overlooked before being admitted
The influencer’s new message arrives days after she shared an interview with María Laura Santillán for Infobae, in which she recalled how the first signs of the illness appeared.
According to her account, it all began during a routine day when she decided to have a virtual medical consultation. During the video call, the clinician asked her to show her mouth and warned that she was experiencing significant bleeding, instructing her to go to emergency care immediately.
Speaking about that moment, Denisse acknowledged that she had noticed that her gums were bleeding, though she did not imagine it could be something serious. “My gums were bleeding, but you never think it’s something serious. I said, ‘Oh, what an idiot, I brushed my teeth quickly,’ and I thought it would pass,” she recounted.
During the interview, the young woman also recalled that before receiving the diagnosis she had noticed bruises on various parts of her body, which she initially ignored. “My body was indeed warning me, but I didn’t want to see it. I had bruises all over the body and I said, ‘No, well, I must have bumped myself,’” she explained.
To those signs were added petechiae, small red or purplish spots that can appear on the skin as a result of minor bleeding. Denisse explained that she had also mistaken them for an allergic reaction.
Things grew more urgent when she arrived at the emergency department and underwent new blood tests to measure her platelet levels.
“When I arrived at the ER, routine tests required another blood draw. That day the lab showed 13,000 for me. When I went to the clinic it read 1,000, and that’s when the doctor looked at me and said I needed to be hospitalized,” she said.
Since that first hospitalization, Denisse has been sharing part of her experience with her followers. Now, facing another drop in platelets, her priority is again to follow medical instructions, adhere to the treatment, and dedicate the necessary time to her recovery.
