Chechu Bonelli Reveals How Her Conflict with Darío Cvitanich Affected Their Daughters’ Upbringing: They Miss School When They’re With Dad

11 October 2026

Chechu Bonelli and Darío Cvitanich are navigating a challenging phase since their separation, after fourteen years together and three daughters in common. In recent months, the former couple has been at the center of media attention due to the differences that emerged about their relationship and the way their family is organized.

In this context, the model and journalist spoke about the difficulties she faces in upholding certain parenting guidelines and explained how the lack of dialogue with the ex-footballer makes coordinating daily responsibilities more complicated.

Her statements took place on Valet Parking, the streaming program from La Casa Streaming, during a conversation with Agustín “Cachete” Sierra.

Chechu Bonelli spoke about the lack of dialogue with Darío Cvitanich

During the chat, Bonelli explained that she tries to establish certain rules for her daughters, although she concedes that she cannot always ensure they are followed in both homes.

“While we’re eating dinner, she knows she shouldn’t grab her phone. It’s already public knowledge that I don’t have a dialogue with her father. That’s why I have to try to manage it on my own,” she said.

When asked how she managed to supervise what happened at Cvitanich’s house, the journalist answered directly: “And, precisely, I’m the one who keeps it under control.”

In this way, she underscored one of the difficulties she faces in shared parenting: the lack of communication with her ex-partner for coordinating routines and limits in the daily life of the girls.

Chechu Bonelli’s concern about school absences

One of the most sensitive points of the conversation emerged when Bonelli referred to her daughters’ absences from school on days they are with their father. As she explained, she sometimes only becomes aware of those situations when she receives the school reports.

“Basically I try to inform about the things, but there are things, I don’t know, my daughters sometimes miss school when they’re with their dad and I don’t find out,” she stated. “And I don’t like that, but I respect it because they’re with their dad.”

When asked how she learned about the absences, the journalist clarified that she does not always receive that information directly. “No, I realize it when I see the report and I see the absence. They’re under your responsibility. I don’t want fights, I don’t want anything. I’m in a moment…” she said, before trailing off.

Differences in parenting after the separation

The statements by Bonelli once again drew attention to the challenges that organizing a family life after a separation can entail, especially when there are differences in parenting criteria and difficulties coordinating responsibilities.

In her testimony, the journalist stressed the importance she places on daily routines, such as phone use during meals and keeping track of schooling. She also expressed that she aims to avoid new public disagreements, even though she acknowledged feeling uncomfortable in certain situations.

Thus, Bonelli returned to addressing a delicate aspect of her family life and made clear that raising her three daughters remains one of the central challenges of this new phase.
