In the midst of the countdown to the release of Do You Want to Be My Son?, the film starring Wanda Nara which hits theaters on October 22, Agustín Bernasconi spoke about the speculation that arose after news of the camaraderie they shared during filming emerged.
The 29-year-old actor plays Wanda’s love interest in a story that blends drama, mystery, and passion. The plot follows Lucía, a 40-year-old woman who discovers that her partner, after 15 years together, cheated on her. On top of that is the loss of her job, so she decides to return to her old apartment she shared when she was single to start over.
There she meets her new neighbor, a 23-year-old who leads a life very different from hers and who doesn’t give her much peace due to his constant parties.
However, Lucía lies during a job interview by claiming that she has a 22-year-old son. To sustain that lie, she turns to her young neighbor and convinces him to pretend to be her son. From this situation begins an unexpected relationship that will give rise to a story woven with attraction and tangled intrigues.
What Agustín Bernasconi Said About His Relationship with Wanda Nara
When talking about the film, Agustín Bernasconi expressed enthusiasm for the reaction generated by the trailer. He also noted that filming took place in Uruguay and that they spent about a month and a half working together.
In that context, the actor was asked about the romance rumors that circulated around his connection with Wanda Nara. Far from appearing upset, Bernasconi took the situation with humor and explained that both knew that the speculation could appear.
“We laughed about it; it was obvious that it could happen because we spent a month and a half filming in Uruguay together,” he explained.
The actor also referred to the impact that news related to Wanda typically has and acknowledged that it was expected that any situation between them would draw attention. “And everything surrounding her is very strong and the whole country finds out, so we knew it could happen,” he stated.
However, Bernasconi emphasized that the purpose of going to Uruguay was strictly professional and he was satisfied with the final result of the film. “But we went to work, which fortunately turned out very nice, so we’re happy about that,” he assured.
