Denisse González is once again facing a delicate health moment. The former Gran Hermano contestant was readmitted to hospital this Tuesday after recording another drop in her platelet count, as part of the situation she has been navigating for several months.
The young woman had begun to gradually resume her routine after two hospitalizations and a diagnosis of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. However, in the latest hours she shared on her social media that her levels had fallen again and that she would need to undergo new tests.
True to her spontaneous style, Denisse chose to share the news with a touch of humor. She posted a video on Instagran from the clinic in which she was seen seated while eating and wrote over the footage: “Where could you be that you don’t respond? Me, admitted for the third time.”
In the caption of the post, she explained the reason for this new admission. “The good streak ended 😅 Platelets dropped again, so tomorrow I will undergo a bone marrow puncture,” she said.
The young woman also made clear that doctors will continue to search for answers to determine why her platelets keep falling and to evaluate how to proceed with treatment. “We have to keep investigating, seeking answers and trying treatments,” she stated.

A bone marrow puncture is a medical procedure that allows obtaining a sample of the bone marrow to analyze the cells produced there. The study can provide information about the production of blood cells and help professionals investigate certain hematological abnormalities.
In Denisse’s case, as she explained, the study is part of the search for answers to the new drop in platelets. The performance of the puncture does not by itself change her diagnosis, but forms part of the medical evaluation of her condition.
Despite the uncertainty she is facing, the former Gran Hermano contestant tried to convey calm to her followers and anticipated that she hopes to return home in the coming days. “And well, that’s where we are… 💪❤️ In a few days I’ll be back home and we’ll continue as always. There is no other option but to keep going! ❤️🩹”, she wrote.

Denisse González’s diagnosis and her previous hospitalizations
In mid-September, Denisse had spoken publicly about her health status on The Morning with Moria, where she revealed that she had been diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. She explained that, in her case, the cause had not yet been determined.
The illness is characterized by a decrease in platelets, cells that play a fundamental role in coagulation. During that interview, Denisse said her values had fallen to extremely low levels.
“It’s a very particular illness, but from what I understand it happens to many people. My illness is called idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. In my case it is idiopathic because the cause is unknown,” she had explained.
She also recalled that she had dropped to as few as 1,000 platelets, compared to normal values of approximately 150,000 to 450,000, and noted that at that moment she was at risk of an internal hemorrhage.
During that interview, moreover, Denisse showed herself emotionally affected by the process she was undergoing. “I am very sensitive. It hurts to see myself like this. I know I have a disease, but I am not the disease,” she had said.
Now, with this new hospitalization, the young woman must continue with medical evaluations to determine why her platelets dropped again and to assess the next steps of her treatment.
