Several days after rumors began circulating about a possible rapprochement between Franco Colapinto and Sofía Solá, the eldest daughter of Maru Botana spoke on camera for the first time to Puro Show (El Trece) and addressed the reports linking her romantically to the Formula 1 driver.
Speculation had arisen after Colapinto’s followers detected a “like” on posts by the young model, who had been staying in Barcelona since April. Sofía had also responded with humor to users’ comments and, later, decided to address the topic on television.
Asked directly whether she knew Colapinto personally, Sofía was blunt: “No.” She also denied having met the driver during her stay in Spain.
However, when the journalist pressed to know what she thought about the possibility of some closeness, the model did not rule out the idea.

During the mobile segment, Sofía was also asked about her mother’s reaction, who days earlier had spoken about the rumors and even had given the go-ahead to the driver as a potential partner for her daughter.
Asked whether Maru had “lit up her eyes” upon hearing the versions, Sofía answered with humor: “And well… what mother wouldn’t?”
The young woman was also questioned about whether she would give Colapinto a chance in the event of an opportunity to meet. “Yes, of course. But he’s dating me,” she replied, referencing the relationship the driver had maintained with Maia Reficco.
When the journalist asked how she imagined the possibility of being with him, Sofía answered: “Well, I don’t know. I don’t know. He’s very top.”
The model also chose not to reveal if she had ever received a private message from the driver. When directly questioned, she simply stated: “No, I’m not going to talk.”
