The world of fashion is in mourning. Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died this Sunday at the age of 27, while he was hospitalized in a rehabilitation center in the city of Los Angeles, in the United States. The news was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. As of now, the causes of his death have not been released.
Through a representative, the family expressed their pain and asked to preserve his privacy: “The family asks for privacy during these very difficult and painful moments.”.
A life shaped by fashion
Born in California on July 2, 1999, Presley grew up under the world’s gaze as the eldest son of one of the most influential models of all time. Yet he managed to forge his own path in the fashion industry.
He walked the catwalks for the first time at 16 and worked for some of the world’s most prestigious brands, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. He also fronted campaigns for , establishing himself as one of the most promising young faces in international modeling.
His struggle with mental health and addiction
In recent years, Presley chose to speak publicly about the difficulties he was facing. He candidly shared his mental health issues, his addictions, and panic attacks, with the aim of supporting others who were experiencing similar situations.
In a video posted in December 2025, which he later deleted from his social networks, he confessed that he was going through a very hard moment due to various personal losses and that he needed help. Then, his mother replied with a message that moved his followers: “Presley, we love you and you are not alone.”.
He had also said that sharing his experiences was a way to lend a hand to those struggling with depression and other mental health issues. “If I can help even one person, that’s all I need to do,” he had said previously.

The relationship among Presley, Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and his sister, model Kaia Gerber, has always been close. In fact, Kaia had recently talked about the impact her brother’s difficulties had on the family dynamics and about the importance of asking for help and speaking openly about mental health.
