Invited to a recent cycle of the program Un medio día mejor, Zaira Nara appeared radiant, relaxed, and spontaneous as she recalled the worst date she had with Jakob von Plessen, the father of her two children (Malaika and Viggo) and with whom she separated in 2022 after eight years together.
Displaying her most humorous and easygoing side, the model surprised the audience with an anecdote filled with bloopers and unbelievable moments.
Zaira and Jakob had met in mid-2015 through a mutual friend who facilitated the contact. After months of calls and chats while he worked in Africa, the first face-to-face meeting occurred upon his return to the country, giving birth to a love story that had a chaotic start.
The businesswoman recalled that at the beginning she felt some doubts about taking the first step and deciding where to meet. Since he lived abroad and she already lived alone in Argentina, she wasn’t sure about welcoming a stranger into her personal space.
“I got scared and said: ‘I don’t know if I want to go to his place because what if I don’t like him and I want to leave?’ And when considering inviting him to my house I thought: ‘No, worse, because if I don’t like him, how would I tell him to go?’,” she explained with laughter about her speculations at that moment.
A Scene Full of Suspicions and Small Clues
Zaira ended up agreeing to meet at the apartment he was occupying at the time. However, as soon as she stepped inside, details began to catch her eye in a strong way.
“At one point he told me: ‘The apartment isn’t mine because mine is under renovation.’ It was a really nice place, perhaps more than what I expected,” she candidly confided.
The revelation that ended up unsettling Wanda Nara’s sister came immediately after, when he admitted that the dwelling belonged to a neighbor in the building. “That really brought me down a notch, because if it belonged to him it would’ve added more,” she joked.
