A news item about Soledad Silveyra generated renewed concern this Monday during the broadcast of LAM (América). According to Pepe Ochoa, the 74-year-old actress suffered a domestic accident at her home and had to be transferred to a health facility.
According to the journalist, the episode occurred when the actress was alone. “I want to say that Solita Silveyra is hospitalized. She had an accident yesterday at home, she was alone. She fractured her hip; it’s a fracture she has now,” he recounted during the program.
According to Ochoa, after the fall Soledad contacted her son Facundo, who came to assist her. “She called her son Facundo, who went to help her,” he said.
Later, the journalist noted that the actress was transferred to Otamendi Hospital, where she remains admitted to receive medical care.
“Baltazar, the other son, told me that she’s in the room swearing, that she wants to leave,” Ochoa said, referring to the actress’s mood and the information he received from her circle.

The news comes after Silveyra had undergone a challenging health period in recent months. At the beginning of August, the actress had revealed on La noche de Mirtha that she suffered from trochanteritis, a condition that caused intense pain and difficulties walking.
On that occasion, she had also explained that the problem began after a fall in which she fractured the sixth lumbar vertebra. According to her account, she continued performing her duties for several days until the pain became unbearable.

The trochanteritis mentioned by the actress is characterized by pain in the outer part of the hip and can involve the tendons, muscles, and bursae that surround the greater trochanter. In Silveyra’s case, the condition had persisted for several months and had affected her mobility and her ability to carry on with her normal work activities.
During her appearance on Mirtha Legrand’s program, the actress spoke candidly about the moment she was going through. “I’m not well health-wise, I have trochanteritis. I’ve had this for six months,” she had said.
Despite the difficulties, Silveyra had publicly expressed her desire to recover and return to work.
