Mirtha Legrand will not be at the helm of her program this weekend. The host was scheduled to record this Friday her traditional Saturday panel, but ultimately she had to stay at home after waking up with a flu-like illness.
The news sparked concern among her followers, especially since the presenter had months earlier endured an episode of acute bronchitis that kept her off television for several weeks.
However, this time it is a mild condition and not a serious situation. It was Nacho Viale, grandson and producer of the show, who reassured the Intrusos team and explained the reasons for Mirtha’s absence.
“Woke up congested and a little bit sick,” Nacho said, and confirmed that his grandmother would not film the program planned for this Friday.
Juana Viale will replace Mirtha
In the absence of the host, it will be Juana Viale who takes her place at the Saturday night table. Mirtha’s granddaughter already has experience hosting the cycle and will be responsible for welcoming the guests who were scheduled for this edition.
According to Nacho Viale, the production decided to reorganize the tapings to be able to maintain the planned programming.
“The show will be hosted by Juana, and she will record one program after another,” he explained.
In this way, Mirtha can stay at home and rest while she recovers from the flu-like illness, without the need to modify the weekend television schedule.
Marcela Tinayre spoke about Mirtha’s health
Marcela Tinayre, Mirtha’s daughter, also offered reassurance about the host’s condition. According to her, she is well despite the congestion and is staying with her during these days.
The decision to suspend the recording mainly stems from the need for Mirtha to recover without exposing herself to the demands of a television day.
The host had gone through a similar situation at the end of April, when she suffered an acute bronchitis that forced her to remain off-screen for several weeks. At that time, her doctors had recommended waiting until she was fully recovered before resuming activities.
This time, the situation is different and, according to her family, it is not serious.
Who will be at Mirtha’s table this Saturday
While Mirtha recovers at home, Juana Viale will lead the Saturday night broadcast.
The guests scheduled for the table are Ana Rosenfeld, Elba Marcovecchio, Karina Iavícoli and Luciana Rubinska.
On Sunday, meanwhile, the program will feature guests Patricia Echegoyen, Martín Seefeld, Iñaki Urlezaga, Juli Castro and Sofía Cairó, a member of Las Leonas.
Thus, despite Mirtha’s absence, the production maintains the planned schedule while the host takes a few days to rest and recover.
