There are topics that for a long time remained confined to private conversations. Desire after forty is one of them. Therefore, in the second edition of Experiencia BEST®, Beta Suárez and Andy Clar will be responsible for bringing this conversation to the stage as part of the event’s closing.
With a degree in Social Communication, a specialist in the management and strategic creation of digital content, and as founder and director of POSCUA, Beta Suárez will participate as moderator of the panel “POSCUA Desire”, alongside Andy Clar. The proposal will bring together experts with different perspectives to talk about desire and motivation at this stage of life.
Beta Suárez: A Perspective on the Post-40 Generation
Suárez works with POSCUA on content aimed at the post-40 generation, a phase that, she argues, should not be understood as a closing moment but as a part of life with new questions, interests, and possibilities.
In that context, her participation in BEST® fits. Alongside Andy Clar, she will interview live with expert voices to open a conversation about what happens to us after forty, what moves us, and what things rekindle our desires.
The intention, as she explained ahead of the event, is to approach desire from different perspectives and move away from a definition exclusively tied to sexuality.
From Sexual Pleasure to Desire as a Driving Force
“We are going to talk with references from different approaches about desire, about this, about what happens to us, what gives us energy, not only the desire that relates to the body and sexual pleasure, but desire in general,” Suárez said.
The phrase captures the spirit of the proposal: to broaden the concept of desire and also think about what generates curiosity, enthusiasm, motivation, and the urge to act.
The conversation will be part of the closing of BEST®, after a day shaped by topics related to wellbeing and a broader view on how to live through the different stages of life.
A Conversation with Humor, Science, and Truth
Suárez also highlighted the atmosphere they hope to create during the gathering. Together with Andy Clar, they will strive for the panel to be a real conversation, with various voices and approaches, but also with humor and warmth.
For the communicator, opening this type of conversation is part of a broader idea of well-being. “I think opening conversations about these topics, about well-being, but well-being in a serious sense, far beyond physical beauty, of feeling good about who we are, comfortable in our own skin, is something that changes women’s lives,” she stated.
Along those lines, she especially valued the chance to meet other people interested in pausing the daily pace for a moment and reflecting on these topics.
The Closing of BEST® Places Desire at the Center
The participation of Beta Suárez and Andy Clar will thus be part of one of the final moments of Experiencia BEST®, an event that aims to put beauty, science, wellbeing, and longevity into dialogue.
For Suárez, the fact that the event ends by talking about desire holds special meaning. “We are very happy that BEST, this second edition of BEST, an event we love, ends with that focus, with Post-40 Desire,” she noted.
More than a conclusion, the proposal seeks to leave open a question: what gives us desire after forty, and how much space do we give to those desires in our lives.
