From Skincare to Ice Cream: The Experience That Turned Skincare Into a Foodie Trend

31 August 2026

There are products that make you want to try them as soon as you see them, and others that, in addition, seem taken straight from a pastry shop window. Based on that premise, Dove brought the launch of its new Beauty Scrubs into the foodie universe and turned an afternoon at Schock BA, in Acassuso, into an experience where beauty, aromas, textures, and flavors blended completely.

The proposal started from a fairly simple but highly visual idea: if the new body exfoliants have creamy textures and ingredients that inevitably evoke something delicious, why not play with that sensation? Thus was born an experience designed to discover the products almost as if it were a culinary tasting.

A skincare tasting (yes, it exists)

One of the most original moments was the scrub sommelier experience. Instead of approaching the product from the typical beauty demonstration, the dynamic adopted tasting-room codes: observe, smell, feel the texture, and test the product on the skin.

There was even a menu to rate each variety according to its aroma, texture, and intensity, transferring gastronomic vocabulary to the world of body care. The idea was to discover the different options and the sensation that each left on the skin.

And after smelling and feeling the scrubs, came, literally, the moment to try their edible version.

Three Beauty Scrubs Converted into Ice Cream:

For the experience, Schock BA crafted three flavors inspired by the product universe. Dove Berry Cloud combined strawberry with cream, Italian meringue, and lyophilized raspberries; Dove Citric Bloom mixed yuzu with blueberries and blackberries; and Dove Coco Caramel opted for coconut, chocolate crumble, and hazelnuts with salted caramel.

Berry Cloud, Citric Bloom y Coco Caramel: tres sabores para llevar la inspiración de los Beauty Scrub al terreno foodie.

The journey was completed with sensory stations, product displays, and spaces designed especially to generate content: from a pastel-toned shower installation to a bathtub turned into an interactive experience with products and hidden prizes.

Because if one thing this launch made clear is that the beauty universe is no longer limited to testing a formula in front of the mirror. It can also become an experience to touch, smell, photograph, and, oddly enough, even taste.

Un match inesperado: belleza y gastronomía se encontraron en una experiencia donde todo invitaba a probar, descubrir y jugar.
