This Saturday, August 29, Mirtha Legrand delivered a moving moment by remembering Rubén Rada, who had died the previous Wednesday, August 26, at the age of 83.
During La noche de Mirtha, broadcast on El Trece, the host used a moment of the program to honor the Uruguayan musician and recall the bond they shared out of affection and admiration.
“So dear… He wrote me a song, we could close with the song he wrote for me,” Mirtha stated during the broadcast.
Then, the Chiqui referred again to the composition that Rada had created especially for her. “I am proud that he wrote such a lovely song for me…”, she asserted, triggering applause from those present.
As the program closed, the song was used as the closing theme. In this way, Mirtha chose to bid farewell to the broadcast with a special memory of the artist.
