Showcase: Valeria Mazza, Nicole Neumann, and Araceli González – Celebrity Looks at Benito Fernández’s Runway Show

29 August 2026

Benito Fernández celebrated his four decades in fashion with a special night. On Friday, August 28, the designer presented “MY STORY”, his anniversary collection, as part of Argentina Fashion Week and as the closing act of the fashion week shows at the Palacio San Miguel.

More than 300 guests joined the designer in a celebration that brought together figures from fashion, show business, and culture. Among them were Valeria Mazza, Analía Maiorana, Araceli González, Paloma Herrera, Soledad Solaro, Nicole Neumann, Gege Neumann, María Susini, Fabián Medina Flores, Verónica de la Canal, Jimena Cirulnik, Laura Fidalgo, María Fernanda Callejón and Anamá Ferreira, among many others.

The collection was conceived as a journey through the four decades of Fernández’s career. Through 40 looks, the designer retrieved some of the pieces and stages that marked his trajectory to reinterpret them from the present.

Far from reproducing his past designs literally, “MI STORY” offered a fresh perspective on them, with renewed combinations of colors, materials, textures, volumes and artisanal craftsmanship. It also revived genres, scraps and elements that the designer had kept over the years to transform them into new creations.

Among the redesigned designs were pieces from collections such as “Etnia” (2009), “Hadas” (1999), “Embrujo Gitano” (2016) and “Alma Bohemia” (2025). There was also a special place for one of the dresses Fernández created for Máxima of the Netherlands, in addition to a design worn by Valeria Mazza and another that Natalia Lobo wore to the Martín Fierro in 2009.

The show also featured a special closing moment: Chloé Bello handled the final walk, while Josefina “Fini” Bocchino, daughter of Andrea Frigerio, made her runway debut.

But the celebration did not end on the catwalk. After the show, Benito received the audience’s applause alongside the models and his guests, as Gloria Gaynor’s music played. The night continued backstage with a cake specially made to celebrate his 40 years in fashion.

And while the designer celebrated four decades in the business, the figures who accompanied him also became the night’s protagonists with their looks.
