At BAFWEEK, the Argentine designer presented Analógica, her Spring-Summer 2027 collection for L—B. Inspired by the routes across Argentina, the proposal fuses urban fashion with the outdoor realm to speak about something increasingly essential: being present again.
And what if, to meet again, we had to lose the signal? That is one of the questions woven through Analógica, L—B’s new Spring-Summer 2027 collection, unveiled by Luz Ballestero within BAFWEEK.
The designer took as a starting point her journeys along Argentina’s routes and built a proposal that invites stepping off the familiar path to look around again. A collection conceived to move, get dirty, mix, repeat, and adapt.
But also to disconnect. In a present increasingly interwoven with screens, algorithms, and filters, Analógica proposes reclaiming what happens in real time: the wind, the earth, the landscape, the sound of an engine, a walk or an unexpected stop along the way.
Analógica: A Collection for Travel
Inspiration comes from the way we dress when we travel. When there is little space and we must carry only what is necessary. When a single garment must work both day and night.
Layering, tying garments at the waist, letting items hang, turning a piece to use the cleaner side, or mixing things we wouldn’t normally pair. That practical logic becomes a design language.
The collection incorporates technical materials, adjustment systems, overlays, and colors linked to sportswear, but they are channeled into L—B’s own universe.
The idea is not simply to incorporate outdoor garments into the urban wardrobe, but to create a dialogue between both worlds.
From the mountains to the sunset: the colors of a journey
The show was also conceived as a visual journey. The first part appeared tinted in purples, inspired by the violet hues drawn behind the mountains at dawn.
Next came garments treated with prints created from analog photographs of native flora, made by visual artist Mariela Izurieta.
Yellow took center stage to represent the day’s intensity. Later, ochres and reds marked the sunset moment, until deep blues and dark tones accompanied the night’s arrival.
Thus, the palette also told a story: that of a full day in motion.
Outdoor fashion with Urban DNA
One of Analógica’s strengths lies in the crossroads between functionality and design. The garments are conceived to accompany different situations and adapt to a body in motion. Layering, adjustment systems, and technical materials appear integrated into the identity of L—B.
The collaboration with Salomon deepened that dialogue. The functional and technological language of the footwear brand was incorporated into the collection to reinforce the connection between design, nature, and performance.
The result moves away from the idea that sportswear belongs exclusively to sports: here it becomes part of a way of living and traveling the world.
A show to experience the journey before the first look
“Fuera de Ruta” was much more than the name chosen for the show. The experience began even before the first look appeared. Guests could walk the runway created by Luz Ballestero together with Sofía Grodek, of La Espina, and feel firsthand that sense of anticipation that precedes a journey.
Analog cameras were part of the experience and allowed recording the journey in a deliberately different way.
The Music Also Told the Story
Without digital filters. Without the immediacy of a screen. Just the moment. The journey also featured a soundtrack created by Sebastián Escofet and Mery Sorrosal, blending songs associated with travel with everyday sounds often overlooked: a distant cricket. The alarm clock signaling it’s time to go. A suitcase closing. The engine starting. The wind blowing through the window.
Small sounds, brought to the foreground, reconnect with a physical and sensorial experience. In this way, the show became an experience that involved not only sight but also hearing and memory.
When Getting Lost Is Also Part of the Journey
Analógica proposes an idea that goes beyond fashion: traveling does not always mean arriving. Sometimes it means taking a detour. Stopping because something catches your eye. Walking without knowing exactly what lies ahead. Reclaiming the senses and recording what happens around you.
Salt on the skin. Earth in the hands. Water. Wind. The sound of a river accompanying the route. That spirit threads through Luz Ballestero’s collection and also explains its name.
Because Analógica speaks of returning to being present. Of looking without a screen in the middle. Of keeping fewer images to remember more moments. And because, when you finally go on a road trip, there may be no signal. But there is always a direction.
