27 August 2026

Denisse González is going through difficult weeks following a health condition that required several hospitalizations due to a sharp drop in her platelet count. From home, the former Big Brother contestant decided to share with her followers part of the process she’s going through and showed some of the physical effects she experienced during treatment.

Again we depend on the numbers, again we depend on my body, and again we depend on time,” she said at the start of the video, where she explained how she is currently faring.

“My current state, on Saturday I got discharged. But it wasn’t a night out, I left the hospital. This second time I broke the record for the lowest platelet count, the first time it was 3,000 and this time 1,000. I had to win at least in something,” she joked about her recent hospitalizations.

While recounting her experience, the influencer also shared some images taken during these days. In one of them she can be seen in front of a mirror with various bruises on one arm.

Admitting that the days in hospital feel like a horror movie. Not only because of the blood, which shows that my body doesn’t control it very well, but also because of the number of needles I saw every day,” she confessed.

Then she explained how she continues with the treatment and hospital visits. “This week feels like I’m on vacation; I only see them three times a week. Twice to draw blood and one to administer my new treatment… Romiplastim, something like that,” she recounted.

The former Gran Hermano contestant also showed the moment when she received an injection in the abdomen. While undergoing the treatment, she closed her eyes and showed the pain the procedure caused.

“This week we’re going to see if they work; remember the first two treatments didn’t work,” she said regarding the new phase she started.

The symptoms she faces during the treatment

In addition to showing part of the procedure, Denisse explained that she must cope with various physical effects derived from the treatments she received.

Because steroids and gammaglobulins, even if they may not work in the long term, they still have to be given to get out of the risky state,” she explained.

In that sense, she detailed how some of the symptoms manifest: “One causes headaches to a level where you can’t open your eyes, and the other causes pain all over your body… Literally in places I didn’t know could hurt.”

Denisse contó que debe afrontar diferentes efectos físicos derivados de los tratamientos que recibió.

On the new treatment, she added with humor: “This last treatment is intense; automatically you turn into Venom.”

Later, she showed irritation that appeared on her arms and in the abdomen area. The skin looked rosier than usual and with an irregular distribution.

Más adelante, mostró una irritación que apareció en sus brazos y en la zona del abdomen. La piel se veía más rosada que de costumbre y con una distribución irregular.

“It would be nice if it gave me powers. Still, as long as it works for me I’m happy; we’ll see if it works,” she said.

With humor and a hopeful outlook, Denisse chose to share part of her reality and tell how she’s getting through this moment, while waiting to learn how her body will respond to the new treatment.
